Why these headphones are interesting

Samsung primarily focused on internal improvements for the new generation. The most important change is a wider deep driver (woofer) with an area approximately 20% larger, which handles the bass. In conjunction with a two-way speaker and dual amplifier, it offers Hi-Fi sound up to 24bit/96kHz. The second highlight is improved adaptive ANC, which adapts to the surroundings and ear shape, and according to our review, it handles noise on a bus or train without issues.

Key parameters explained simply

The headphones are earbuds with silicone tips and IP57 resistance (note: the charging case is not water-resistant). The battery lasts up to 6 hours of playback with ANC enabled and up to 26 hours total with the case. Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 6.1 with Auto Switch and Auracast support. A practical bonus is wireless charging for the case, which was highlighted as a feature in our review. For calls, there are six microphones with Super Clear Call function.

How they performed in practice

In our review, the headphones primarily impressed with their bass-focused sound – our editor, as a drum and bass listener, praised their rendition. He also positively evaluated the effective ANC, which he felt was better than that of Pixel Buds Pro 2, and the aforementioned wireless charging for the case. However, there was also a criticism: controlling with gestures and pressing the stem is not entirely intuitive at first and takes some time to get used to.

They truly shine with a Samsung phone

This is crucial when deciding: most advanced features are tied to the Galaxy ecosystem. Sound at 24bit/96kHz, Super Clear Call, real-time translation, head gestures, 360 audio, and control without app installation typically require a Samsung Galaxy phone with a newer One UI. Connecting the headphones via Bluetooth and listening to music works with any device, but on a non-Galaxy Android or iPhone, you’ll miss out on a large portion of the smart features. For Samsung phone owners, on the other hand, they are an ideal accessory.

When it doesn’t make sense

If you don’t have a Samsung phone, you won’t utilize most of the added value, and it’s better to opt for headphones that don’t tie smart features to a single brand. If you need a maximally durable case, keep in mind that the IP57 rating only applies to the headphones themselves. And if you mind controlling with gestures and pressing the stem, expect a short adjustment period.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

For owners of Samsung Galaxy phones who want premium sound, strong ANC, and smart features, the price from 4,453 CZK is significantly more favorable than the March price of 6,199 CZK, making the headphones an attractive purchase. However, if you don’t have a Samsung phone, consider whether it’s worth paying for features you won’t use – in that case, it makes sense to look elsewhere.
