Complete specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE have leaked, revealing how the new generation will be better than last year’s model. The biggest changes concern battery and charging, while in other areas, Samsung maintains its usual conservative approach. The question remains whether the planned improvements are sufficient to maintain competitiveness.

Larger battery and faster charging as main advantages

Samsung will increase the battery capacity of the Galaxy S25 FE from 4,700 to 4,900 mAh, which is a minor increase compared to the improvements Chinese manufacturers have introduced this year. A more significant leap awaits users in charging – speed will increase from 25W to 45W for wired charging. Wireless charging, according to Android Headlines, which provided the specifications, remains at 15W.

The positive news is that Samsung has managed to reduce the phone’s dimensions to 161.3 × 76.6 × 7.4 mm compared to the current 162 × 77.3 × 8 mm of the S24 FE. The phone will thus be more than half a millimeter thinner and also 23 grams lighter – its weight will drop to 190 grams.

Processor gets an upgrade, display remains the same

Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 FE will run on the Exynos 2400 chipset instead of the current Exynos 2400e. This is the full version of the processor used in the Galaxy S24 flagships, which should offer higher performance than the trimmed-down variant in the S24 FE. RAM remains at 8 GB, storage will be available in 128GB and 256GB variants.

The display will retain its 6.7-inch diagonal and Full HD+ resolution, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung continues to use Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Do not expect any groundbreaking changes in this area.

Cameras unchanged, software with novelties

The camera setup remains identical to last year’s model – the new device will offer a main 50Mpx sensor with optical stabilization, a 12Mpx ultrawide, and an 8Mpx telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom. The selfie camera will also likely remain unchanged, continuing to offer a 12Mpx sensor.

A slight leap forward will be the Android 16 operating system with the One UI 8 overlay and advanced Galaxy AI features. Samsung thus promises the latest software enhancements and longer update support.

Are the improvements enough for 2025?

The Galaxy S25 FE brings minor evolutionary, not revolutionary, changes. A larger battery and faster charging are welcome, but competitors in the price category around 15,000 CZK often offer charging power from 67 W upwards and larger battery capacities. The absence of any camera improvements may be a disappointment for many.

Samsung is clearly betting on stability and proven solutions instead of potentially risky innovations. For brand enthusiasts looking for a reliable phone with long software support, the Galaxy S25 FE may still be an interesting choice. The question remains whether it will be enough against aggressive competition. For example, Xiaomi is already preparing the 15T series, which will almost certainly offer more attractive specifications on paper for a slightly better price.

Did you expect more significant changes from the Galaxy S25 FE?
