Samsung Galaxy S26 FE arrives in the Czech Republic. It entices with a new chip and One UI 9, prices are known

The Fan Edition series recipe hasn’t changed for years – take as much as possible from an expensive flagship and pack it into a more friendly price tag. The Galaxy S26 FE continues this, but don’t expect the biggest shift in cameras this year. The main novelty is a new processor and the latest One UI 9 system, which the phone receives as the very first in the entire S26 series.

What really changed compared to its predecessor?

The most visible change is hidden under the display. Samsung has deployed a new 3nm Exynos 2500 chip, while last year’s Galaxy S25 FE relied on the older 4nm Exynos 2400. This is the main reason to buy the new model at all – hardware-wise, it differs from its predecessor only in details, as we wrote when the complete specifications were leaked.

The second major shift is software-related. The Galaxy S26 FE is the very first phone in the entire S26 series to come directly with the One UI 9 interface built on Android 17 – last year’s model started with One UI 8.

The cameras remain essentially the same: the trio consists of a 50Mpx main sensor with optical stabilization, an 8Mpx telephoto lens with triple optical zoom, and a 12Mpx ultrawide camera. However, the manufacturer has tweaked the selfie camera – according to Samsung, the front 12Mpx camera has a wider field of view (85° compared to 80°) and captures more details, which is especially useful for group photos.

On the other hand, many things have barely moved. The phone retains its 6.7″ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1900 nits brightness, the battery remains at 4900 mAh this year, and the 45W charging is also the same, which, according to the manufacturer, will replenish energy to 69% in about half an hour. The new model is only slightly larger and heavier – 193 grams compared to 190 for its predecessor.

What’s new with Galaxy AI and One UI 9?

One UI 9 is precisely what the manufacturer presents as the main added value. It brings the My FanCam feature, which automatically tracks a selected person in a video and keeps them in the center of the frame, a smarter Now Brief overview with custom cards, or an improved Circle to Search, which can now find multiple things at once in a single image. Photo editing can be handled by the Photo Assistant with commands in natural language.

The Korean company also promises long-term durability for the phone. The Galaxy S26 FE is set to receive seven generations of system updates and seven years of security patches, so it should serve without problems for several years to come.

Price and Availability of Galaxy S26 FE in the Czech Republic

Sales in the Czech Republic will start at the beginning of September 2026 in three colors – Graphite, Pistachio, and Blueberry. The basic 8/128 GB version will cost 19,699 CZK, while the 8/256 GB variant will be 22,199 CZK.

Those who buy immediately can reduce the price. The brand offers a trade-in bonus for an old device of 3,500 CZK, which brings the basic model down to 16,199 CZK; the offer is valid until October 31. Additionally, with the phone, you will receive six months of Google AI Pro service for free.
