Renowned leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer alias OnLeaks, in collaboration with Android Headlines, published his renders of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra phone on Tuesday, which is currently among the most anticipated next-generation flagships. The leaked images confirm a significant design change that has been speculated a few times – the South Korean manufacturer will definitively bid farewell to the angular design that has characterized the Ultra model in recent years. The definitive end of sharp edges, a more rounded design is coming According to the renders, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will get significantly more rounded corners, which should make the phone more comfortable to hold. An interim step in this case was the design change of this year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, which was still quite angular, but got significantly rounder corners compared to its predecessor. According to available information, Samsung will retain a flat 6.9-inch display with thin symmetrical bezels and a centered, independently placed front camera – so no island surprise this time either. Three cameras in one module like the Galaxy Z Fold At first glance, perhaps the biggest visual change is the unification of the three main cameras into an oval camera module, which protrudes 4.5 mm from the back of the phone. This design resembles the solution used in the foldable models of the Galaxy Z Fold series. The fourth camera remains placed separately next to the middle camera but is not part of the main module – it protrudes directly from the back of the phone. The LED flash and additional sensors are traditionally found above it. The camera setup should include a 200Mpx main sensor with an f/1.4 aperture, a 50Mpx ultrawide lens, a 10Mpx telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50Mpx periscope telephoto lens with 5x zoom. Retained elements and new details The Galaxy S26 Ultra will retain the S Pen slot in the bottom left corner, a USB-C port, and a speaker on the bottom edge. Physical buttons remain on the right side – volume control above the power button (unlike Pixels). The left side of the phone will be clean without any controls. The weight is expected to decrease by one gram to 217 grams. Powerful hardware under the hood The phone should be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or, in some regions, Samsung’s designed and manufactured Exynos 2600. Up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a maximum of 1TB UFS 4.0 storage are expected. The battery will likely retain its 5,000 mAh capacity, but charging could speed up to 60W wired and 25W wireless thanks to support for the Qi2.2 standard with magnets. The display will utilize new M14 OLED panels with CoE technology (Color Filter on Encapsulation) for reduced reflections and better light transmittance. The phone will receive Android 16 with One UI 8 or One UI 8.5 overlay. Unveiling early next year Samsung is traditionally expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 Ultra in January or February 2026. The price should remain at a similar level to the current generation, i.e., around 35 thousand Czech crowns in the basic configuration.
