Samsung has two new Qi2-enabled chargers. One for home, one for the car Home News Samsung introduced Qi2-certified Single Wireless Charger and Car Wireless Charger The home charger costs $34.99, the car version is priced at $84.99 For magnetic attachment of Galaxy phones, a special case with magnets must be purchased Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 16. 10. 2025 12:30 Advertisement Samsung is finally entering the world of magnetic wireless charging. In the US market, it has just introduced a pair of Qi2-certified chargers – the home Single Wireless Charger and the automotive Car Wireless Charger. The problem is that Galaxy phones do not yet have built-in magnets, so you will need a special case to fully utilize the new standard. Compact charger for home and travel The Single Wireless Charger is a thin 7mm puck with an integrated 1.5-meter cable. The charger weighs only 80 grams and has a compact diameter of 58 mm, making it easy to fit into a pocket or backpack. When used with a compatible 25W adapter (sold separately), it can charge a phone with up to 25W of power using Fast Wireless Charging technology. You will especially appreciate the longer cable in situations where the power outlet is not directly next to where you want to charge your phone. Samsung charges $34.99 (about 730 CZK excluding tax) for the Single Wireless Charger. Magnetic car mount with swivel mechanism The Car Wireless Charger combines magnetic attachment with wireless charging directly on your car’s dashboard. The package includes a 12V cigarette lighter adapter, a USB-C cable, and a mount with 360-degree rotation, allowing you to adjust the phone to an optimal position for navigation. Magnets ensure a secure phone attachment even when driving through turns or on bumpy roads. Samsung has also modified the charger’s design to minimize heating during charging. The price of the automotive version is set at $84.99 (approximately 2,000 CZK excluding tax). Magnetic case as a necessary accessory Although both chargers are fully certified for the Qi2 standard, the current generation of Galaxy phones lacks built-in magnets. To utilize magnetic attachment, you must purchase a Qi2-certified magnetic case. Without a magnetic case, Galaxy phones will only function in classic wireless charging mode, where you have to manually place the phone on the charging pad. Both chargers are compatible with the entire Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Fold 7 series. Preparing for the future with magnetic phones Samsung is clearly paving the way for the Galaxy S26, which, according to leaks, is expected to feature integrated magnet support directly within the phone’s body. Google has already taken this step with the Pixel 10 series, which are the first Android phones to offer full Qi2 support, including magnetic attachment. Samsung has two new Qi2-enabled chargers.
