Samsung Ballie byl odložen

Samsung has decided to postpone the launch of its long-awaited home AI robot known as Samsung Ballie. It was originally supposed to be introduced during the first half of this year or summer, but that did not happen, and the company has not yet set a new date. According to insiders, the reasons for the delay are primarily concerns about its real-world use and high price.

The Samsung Ballie robot is intended to be a smart, spherical home assistant equipped with its own drive and **autonomous movement around the user’s dwelling**. It is also supposed to have the ability to respond to voice commands, make phone calls, project information via an integrated projector, and, for example, monitor seniors or pets.

According to experts, the main obstacle to the launch is reportedly primarily the expected high price, which could exceed the 2,000 dollar mark (**~ 42,000 CZK**). Samsung is therefore now carefully considering how to integrate Ballie into households that are already equipped with smart technologies.

An example of a similar problem is the Apple Vision Pro headset, which, due to its high price **(3,499 dollars, or ~ 73,300 CZK)**, did not receive the expected interest because it did not offer sufficiently compelling everyday use.

The future of the Samsung Ballie robot is uncertain

There are logical warnings that discuss the fact that the high price and **overlap of functions** with potentially cheaper devices put the Samsung Ballie home robot in a difficult position. Samsung must therefore now focus on clearly defining the unique benefits that would convince customers to buy.

This leads to two **extremely pessimistic conclusions**; it is unknown when Ballie will arrive and in what form, and at the same time, it is not even certain if we will see it at all. The field of smart homes is constantly moving forward, and new innovations are constantly appearing, to which Ballie must adequately adapt in its development.

Do you think Samsung Ballie has a future, or is its time still too far away?
