Samsung Notes will get two excellent features! Will you appreciate at least one of them? Home News Samsung Notes is receiving an update to version 4.4.30.63, with a size of 152 MB It promises landscape mode support and sticky notes, but you won't find them anywhere yet The update only appears on phones with the One UI 8.0 beta version Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 30. 8. 2025 08:30 Advertisement Samsung has released a new update for its Samsung Notes application, which comes pre-installed on millions of Galaxy phones and tablets. However, there’s a catch – no one has seen the promised features yet. The update, version 4.4.30.63, is 152 MB in size and, according to the official changelog, brings three things: landscape layout support, sticky notes, and bug fixes. Where are the new features hiding? After installing the update, a somewhat awkward situation arises. The promised features are simply nowhere to be found. During testing on the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Ultra with the One UI 8.0 beta version, the new options did not appear in page settings, templates, or when switching to landscape mode. Interestingly, the update does not appear at all on devices with the stable One UI 7.0 version (Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra) or on the Galaxy Z Fold7 with the stable One UI 8.0 version. It seems Samsung is targeting beta testers exclusively this time, suggesting that the features might still need some fine-tuning. We are likely waiting for a future system update The most probable explanation? The new features will only be activated with one of the upcoming One UI 8.0 versions. It’s not the first time Samsung has prepared the ground for new features in advance – updating the application but making the features themselves available later via a system update. It’s like a pre-Christmas gift wrapped in a box you can’t open yet. What Samsung Notes can do today Meanwhile, it’s worth remembering what Samsung Notes can already do. A few months ago, support for solving mathematical problems was added to Galaxy tablets – just write an equation, and the app will solve it. On devices with One UI 7.0, Notes also works with Gemini, allowing you to use the AI assistant directly while writing notes. Landscape mode would be a logical step, especially for foldable phones and tablets, where a horizontal layout would make more sense. Sticky notes, on the other hand, resemble classic paper notes, which could function as quick reminders on the home screen or as floating windows over other applications.
