One of the largest tech thefts in recent times reportedly occurred near London’s Heathrow Airport. Thieves stole a truck carrying 12,000 Samsung devices with a total value of approximately 9 million euros, which is equivalent to over 220 million Czech crowns. The Korean server Yonhap News TV reported this.

The Target Was the Latest Foldable Phones

According to available information, the theft occurred after the cargo was moved from the airport itself to a nearby warehouse. Among the stolen devices were reportedly a total of 5,000 units of the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable phones, which Samsung had only recently introduced.

In addition to the flagship foldable models, the thieves also stole 5,000 units of Galaxy Watch8 smartwatches and other devices, including older models like Galaxy S25 or Galaxy A16. The total number of stolen Samsung products thus reportedly reached 12,000 units.

Yonhap News TV reports that all cargo was insured, so Samsung should not suffer a real financial loss. British police immediately launched an investigation after the incident and, according to the server’s information, have already found empty packaging from the stolen devices.

Do you think Samsung will adopt stricter security measures?
