There are still several months until the unveiling of the new flagships, but according to reports from Korea, the production of their key components is already underway. Samsung is reportedly manufacturing the Exynos 2700 chip, and displays for the entire Galaxy S27 series are expected to join production this month.

How many chips is Samsung preparing and which models will get them?

According to The Elec, Samsung has set a production target more than 10% higher than this year’s Exynos 2600. The reason is the fourth member of the series, the new Galaxy S27 Pro. The chip will be based on the second-generation 2nm SF2P process, which promises 12% higher performance and 25% lower power consumption compared to the first generation.

The Exynos 2700 is expected to power the base Galaxy S27, S27+, and S27 Pro in Korea and Europe, meaning we will most likely receive it in the Czech Republic. In the United States and China, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is expected. The chip for the Galaxy S27 Ultra is, according to the report, still being decided – Samsung’s mobile division is considering performance, temperatures, the price of Qualcomm chips, and how many Exynos units it can produce.

Why is Samsung ordering more displays than last year?

Samsung Display is expected to start mass production of OLED panels this month, according to ZDNet Korea. The Galaxy S27 series should include four models with screen sizes of 6.27 inches (S27), 6.66 inches (S27+), 6.47 inches (S27 Pro), and 6.89 inches (S27 Ultra). The annual target is 47 to 48 million panels, compared to just over 40 million for the Galaxy S26.

For the Galaxy S27 Pro alone, the manufacturer is expected to deliver 2 to 3 million panels by the end of this year, and another 4 to 5 million in 2027. The Privacy Display feature, which is only offered on the Galaxy S26 Ultra this year, should also be included in the new Pro model. Due to costs, Samsung is also expected to adopt some components from the Galaxy S26 for the new series, yet the series is still expected to increase in price according to an earlier leak.

The launch of the Galaxy S27 series is again expected early next year, with preliminary speculation pointing to a February date.

Does it bother you that the Galaxy S27 will most likely get Exynos in the Czech Republic?
