Samsung shocks with a bizarre idea. A giant \"tablet\" for 22 thousand has a battery and runs on Tizen Home News Samsung introduced a 27" TV with a touchscreen and a built-in battery The Moving Style lasts 3 hours on a single charge, has a stand and a handle for carrying It costs 25 thousand Czech crowns in conversion, currently sold only in South Korea Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 22. 9. 2025 12:30 Advertisement Koreans sometimes have ideas where you don’t know if they are brilliant or completely useless. The Moving Style is a 27-inch television that you can take anywhere – it has its own battery, a touchscreen display, and a foldable stand that also functions as a handle. Essentially, a giant tablet running Tizen OS like on regular Samsung TVs. Neither a monitor, nor a tablet, nor a TV The specifications are an interesting mix. The display has a QHD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, which would suggest a gaming monitor. But then you have a touch layer and the Tizen operating system from TVs. Plus a battery for 3 hours of operation. Samsung was clearly unsure what it was actually producing. The panel is most likely LCD, not OLED – if it were OLED, Samsung would be boasting about it everywhere. It supports HDR10+, has two speakers with a total output of 10W, and also handles Dolby Atmos. Quite decent for a portable box. Tizen instead of Android – good or bad idea? The biggest question mark hangs over the software. Tizen works well in TVs, but how will it perform in touch mode? Smart TV applications are not designed for finger control, so some optimizations must have been made. Samsung added support for Google Cast and Apple AirPlay, so you can stream content from your phone. A bonus is SmartThings integration – Moving Style functions as a smart home hub. Connectivity The connector equipment is modest – one HDMI and two USB-C. That’s all. For comparison, a typical monitor has at least two HDMI or DisplayPort. USB-C serves for charging, data transfer, and video input, which is elegant but not very flexible. Wirelessly, the Moving Style is better off. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3 are standard, and Google Assistant is also present. A POGO pin for a Slim Fit camera suggests that Samsung also considered video calls. Who is this even for? The price of 1,490,000 won (approximately 22 thousand Czech crowns in conversion) is not entirely exorbitant, but for similar money, you can buy a 32″ 4K monitor and a basic iPad. Or simply a large Android tablet with better battery life. The Samsung Moving Style might make sense in the kitchen or workshop, where you need to move the display and don’t want to deal with cables. Or in presentation rooms, where you’ll appreciate touch control. Paradoxically, the biggest competitor to the Moving Style is not from LG or Sony, but from Samsung itself – the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has a better display (albeit smaller), longer battery life, and more usable software. And it costs similarly. What do you think about this concept? Source: SamMobile About the author Jakub Kárník Jakub is known for his endless curiosity and passion for the latest technologies.
