Samsung will indeed launch four flagships next year. Galaxy S27 Pro appeared in the GSMA database

Less than a week after the basic Galaxy S27 appeared in the GSMA association’s certification database, it was followed by the as-yet-unannounced Galaxy S27 Pro. For Samsung, this is indirect confirmation that the upcoming flagship series will expand to four models – and that “Pro” is not just a speculation from leaks, but a real designation that the manufacturer itself has entered into official records.

GSMA Entry: Just a Name and Model Number

The GSMA association database serves manufacturers to register upcoming phones before their market launch. For the Galaxy S27 Pro, according to the website Ovrplus, only one additional piece of information appeared: the model number SM-S957B/DS, where the suffix “B/DS” usually indicates an international variant with two SIM cards. No parameters, no photos, just a name and a code.

This is not the first piece of the puzzle. The basic Galaxy S27 (model SM-S952U) appeared in the same database a few days earlier, and we wrote about it separately.

Galaxy S27 Pro: The New Fourth Model in the Series

Along with the Pro version, models SM-S956 (Galaxy S27+) and SM-S958 (Galaxy S27 Ultra) also appeared in the records. Together, the series thus comprises four devices: the basic S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra. If this comes to fruition, it would be the very first generation in which Samsung offers four main S-series flagship models simultaneously – with “Pro” not replacing the Plus version, but positioning itself between it and the Ultra.

What Leaks Suggest About the Pro Model

The database itself does not list any parameters, so everything else remains in the realm of leaks. These describe the Galaxy S27 Pro as a more compact flagship with a display around 6.4 to 6.5 inches, noticeably smaller than the approximately 6.9-inch Ultra. There is also speculation about a 200Mpx main camera and a Privacy Display feature, which we recently wrote about separately. According to current information, the S Pen is expected to remain exclusive to the Ultra. However, these are all unconfirmed fragments for now, not official specifications.

We will have to wait longer for certainty. The premiere of the entire Galaxy S27 series is expected in early 2027, traditionally in January or February; the nearest Unpacked event is slated for foldable phones.
