Segway Navimow X450E robotic lawnmower discounted by 13 thousand! It can even climb steep slopes

The Segway Navimow X450E is not a lawnmower you’d buy on a whim. When we reviewed it in the spring, it cost 76,990 CZK and was mainly aimed at owners of really large and sloped properties. Now, with code 2026ALZAEXTRA10, you can get it on Alza for 64,791 CZK, saving over 13 thousand Czech crowns compared to the price back then.

How much do you actually save with the discount?

Alza first discounted the lawnmower to 71,990 CZK, and code 2026ALZAEXTRA10 takes another 10% off this price. The resulting 64,791 CZK is 13,199 CZK less than the lawnmower cost before the promotion.

Why deal with a lawnmower at the end of September? You won’t enjoy it as much this year, but the installation and garden mapping are done once and for all. In the spring, you just need to take out the lawnmower, charge it, and plan the first mowing.

Even a 40-degree slope won’t stop it

The main trump card of the X450E is its all-wheel drive with double suspension. The manufacturer states that the lawnmower can climb a slope with an incline of up to 84% (40°), and turns in such a way that its wheels do not tear up the turf. In practice, this means it can handle terraces, transitions between property levels, or stone paths where a regular robotic lawnmower would get stuck.

The actual mowing is handled by two discs with twelve blades and a pair of 180W motors, so the lawnmower is designed to tackle even taller and dense grass. The cutting width is 43 cm, and according to the manufacturer, X4 series models mow 2,000 m² in approximately eight hours. You can electrically adjust the cutting height between 20 and 95 mm directly in the app, without crawling on all fours. The 15 Ah battery charges in 100 minutes, and the noise level remains around 68 dB(A).

How does it navigate the garden without a wire?

The perimeter wire is replaced here by navigation, which Segway calls EFLS NRTK. It combines satellite positioning with mobile network corrections and a 360° camera – when the satellite signal weakens under tree canopies, the image takes over as the primary input. You mark the lawn boundaries and forbidden zones, such as flowerbeds or sandpits, in the app by guiding the lawnmower once around the perimeter. The package includes a GNSS antenna, which needs to be placed near the charging station.

Obstacles are monitored by the VisionFence system, which adds a ToF sensor for distance measurement to the camera. The manufacturer promises recognition of over 200 types of obstacles, and in our test, the lawnmower reliably navigated around a shoe and a bottle left on the grass. However, in narrow passages between the fence and a flowerbed, it sometimes hesitated for a moment before finding its way forward.

For an expensive machine that spends its days outdoors, proper security is also fitting. The X450E starts with a PIN, triggers an alarm when lifted, and can be tracked via GPS and the Apple Find My network even when turned off. If it leaves the defined property, the app will send you a notification. The lawnmower connects via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G, monitors weather forecasts and has a rain sensor, and can also be controlled by voice via Google Home or Amazon Alexa.

For whom will the X450E be unnecessarily expensive?

For a garden of a few hundred square meters, the X450E is like a tractor for a flowerbed. If you have a flat lawn smaller than roughly a thousand square meters, a cheaper model will suffice, even within the same series. Alza offers, for example, the less powerful X420E for areas up to 2,000 m². It’s also important to consider that the tire tread picks up dirt when wet, so you’ll occasionally need to wash the lawnmower after rain, and in very complex gardens with narrow passages, it might take time searching for its route.

How long will it take for the lawnmower to pay for itself?

In the review, we calculated that someone paying a gardener 800 to 1,200 CZK per week for regular mowing would spend approximately 25,000 to 35,000 CZK per season. At a price of 64,791 CZK, the lawnmower will pay for itself in approximately two to two and a half seasons, which is faster than at the spring price. The X450E makes the most sense for homeowners with large properties, cottagers who visit their garden occasionally, and anyone with slopes in their garden that a regular robotic lawnmower wouldn’t dare to tackle. Those who were eyeing it in the spring now get a price tag that’s 12 thousand more appealing.
