Smart plug with power consumption measurement for 241 CZK per piece. SONOFF iPlug S60 in a 2-pack costs 482 CZK on Alza with code ALZADNY30. You plug it into the socket, connect to Wi-Fi via the eWeLink app, and in a minute you can control any appliance from your phone anywhere in the world. With a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 251 reviews, it is the highest-rated smart plug on Alza.

Quick summary:
Makes sense for timed lighting, remote switching of a direct heater at a cottage, monitoring appliance consumption, or automating Christmas lights.
⚠️ Consider that it only works on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, the output is Schuko (without an earthing pin), and the plug does not disconnect both phases after switching off — it is not sufficient for safe disconnection of an appliance.
💡 For 482 CZK / 2 pcs you get power consumption measurement up to 16 A, advanced timers, child safety lock, Google Home + Alexa, and Home Assistant compatibility.

What you can do with it

The timing options for Sonoff S60 are surprisingly rich. In the eWeLink app, you can set “turn on every day at 6:00 AM, turn off at 9:00 AM” for heating at a cottage, or “turn on at sunset” for outdoor lighting. Through the IFTTT service, appliances can be triggered based on weather or other conditions. Power consumption measurement in real-time directly in the device list — you can see how much a washing machine, direct heater, or camera consumes. Automatic shutdown when the set power is exceeded adds safety.

Compact dimensions 50 × 50 × 62 mm and weight 79 grams. Operates on 12–250 V with a maximum load of 16 A / 3,500 W (peak 4,000 W). Child safety lock in the socket. Users confirm compatibility with Home Assistant via eWeLink or Sonoff LAN integration — so if you have home automation, the S60 will fit right in.

What to consider

The output socket is of the Schuko type (without an earthing pin) — older round plugs without side contacts cannot be inserted into it. Most modern appliances have Uni-Schuko and work without problems, but verify this beforehand. It works only on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi — if your router only has 5 GHz, you will need to set up the 2.4 GHz band as well. And beware: even after “switching off” in the app, one of the holes remains live — for safe handling of the appliance, you must physically unplug it from the socket.

Do you use smart plugs at home — and for what specifically?
