Qualcomm has officially announced when it will host this year’s edition of its biggest event. Snapdragon Summit 2026 will take place from September 22 to 24, and in addition to new flagship chips, the attention of Xiaomi fans is also drawn to it – according to available information, the Chinese premiere of the anticipated Xiaomi 18 series will most likely fall on the same days.

When is Snapdragon Summit 2026 taking place?

Qualcomm itself confirmed the date. The event returns to the Hawaiian island of Maui, where it was held in previous years, and will take place from September 22 to 24, 2026. The opening keynote by CEO Cristiano Amon, where new products are usually unveiled, falls on the first day.

The main draw for us will be two new processors – Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. According to available information, both are expected to use the most advanced 2nm manufacturing process from TSMC for the first time, which promises higher performance and better energy efficiency. These chips will power most of next year’s flagship Android phones.

What does this mean for the Xiaomi 18 series?

Here we are already in the realm of speculation. Xiaomi is regularly the first manufacturer to integrate the new top-tier Snapdragon into a phone, and usually introduces its new series in China practically simultaneously with the Summit. Therefore, Notebookcheck suggests that the Chinese premiere of the Xiaomi 18 series could come shortly after the opening keynote on September 22.

However, it is important to add that Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any date, and this is purely an estimate based on past years’ practices.

Are you looking forward to the Xiaomi 18 series with the new Snapdragon?
