We know their design and price Home News Sony officially confirmed the unveiling of the WF-1000XM6 headphones for February 12, 2026 Leaked renders reveal a return to matte plastic and a more compact charging case The expected price is $329.99 in the USA and €299.99 in Europe Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 7. 2. 2026 15:30 Advertisement After months of speculation and a fresh leak of renders, Sony has finally spoken. The Japanese manufacturer published a short teaser on its YouTube channel, hinting at the arrival of a new generation of wireless headphones in a dark atmosphere. Although the video shows almost nothing, the subtle silhouette of an open case reveals that it is indeed the anticipated WF-1000XM6. Their unveiling will take place on February 12 at 5:00 PM our time. Leak revealed complete design Price and availability Leak revealed complete design Just a few days before the official announcement, complete product photos leaked on the Thai e-shop Power Buy. These confirm that Sony is abandoning the glossy finish of the XM5 model, which frustrated many users with its susceptibility to fingerprints. The new generation returns to the matte plastic design known from the XM4 model, which should improve both the haptic feel and practicality in everyday use. The earbuds themselves have a slightly larger and more pill-shaped form compared to their predecessor. On the surface, one can notice three external microphones, which, along with one internal microphone, means a total of four microphones per earbud. This suggests improvements to active noise cancellation and transparency mode. The charging case is narrower and taller than the XM5’s, and the LED indicator remains, though it is now hidden behind the plastic. Price and availability According to a leak from reliable leaker billbil-kun (reported this in an article for Dealabs), the WF-1000XM6 will cost €299.99 (CZK 7,300 converted) when launched in Europe, which will represent a slight price drop compared to the previous model. The headphones will be available in black and silver colors. A Sandy Pink variant may also arrive in some regions only. Among other specifications, IPX4 water splash resistance and foam ear tips similar to those from previous generations are confirmed. Technical details regarding battery life, driver size, or supported codecs have been kept under wraps by Sony, and we will most likely learn them next week during the official announcement.
