Fifty thousand milliamp-hours. That’s how much energy the ChoeTech Digital 50000mAh can hold – theoretically enough for 8–10 full charges of a typical smartphone. Ideal for a weekend festival, a week of camping, or as a backup power source.

Power for the whole weekend

The capacity is 50,000 mAh with 22.5W output and support for PD 3.0 and QC fast charging. Three outputs are available: 2× USB-A and 1× USB-C. You can therefore charge up to three devices simultaneously, but the output power will be reduced in such a case.

The digital display shows precise charge percentages, not just four LEDs. The maximum output current is 3A and voltage is 12V. It charges an iPhone from 15 to 54% in 30 minutes, and you can charge a whole phone with a 5000mAh battery about eight times.

One customer summarizes: “Took it to the Rock for People festival, enough for 2 phones for 4 nights.” A Slovak reviewer adds: “For the money, a good product, sufficient for regular camping and weekend fishing trips.”

A Brick with Long Charging Time

With a capacity of 50,000 mAh comes corresponding weight and dimensions. The power bank weighs over 400 grams and measures 150 × 68 × 65 mm – it truly is a “brick.” It’s not suitable for pocket carrying, but ideal for a backpack or car.

Main disadvantage: extremely long charging time. From 70 to 100% took one customer 14 hours with a 2A charger. Even with a fast charger, expect 10–12 hours for a full charge. “To charge it, you need to use a 65W charger, otherwise you’ll be charging it for a week with a 15W one,” advises a user.

Warning: the power bank cannot be taken on an airplane. The capacity of 185 Wh significantly exceeds the 100 Wh limit for carry-on luggage.

What 277 Customers Say

The rating is a very solid 4.7 out of 5, over 500 units have been sold on Alza, and 91% of customers recommend it. “The current price in relation to usable energy is unprecedented,” praises a Slovak customer. “Quality goods, great price,” another agrees.

Recurring complaints: some customers report a scratched display upon unboxing – apparently, a protective film is missing. Several reviews mention whining during charging, especially with larger variants. “In a quiet room, the whining is quite audible, for example at night.”

One customer described a more serious problem: after 20 cycles, the power bank started to heat up significantly and emit a hissing sound. However, the complaint rate of 1.7% is still low – most units work without issues.

The original price was 1,299 CZK and now with code ALZADNY30 it costs 909 CZK. For a power bank with a 50,000 mAh capacity, fast charging, and a display, this is one of the best price/capacity ratios on the market.

Do you need a power bank for a weekend in nature, or is a more compact pocket-sized version enough for you?
