The ASUS Vivobook S14 in this configuration now costs 15,990 CZK for AlzaPlus+ members. The price development is significant: the model was launched last November for 23,490 CZK, at the beginning of this month it still cost 19,990 CZK, so today with AlzaPlus+ it is 4 thousand lower compared to the beginning of May and 7,500 CZK below the original price. CHCI NOTEBOOK V AKCI Quick summary:✅ Makes sense if you want a mobile work laptop with an OLED display, long battery life, and good equipment for Windows 11 AI features.⚠️ Consider carefully if you use specialized x86 software or gaming – it’s an ARM processor and not everything runs natively.💡 For 15,990 CZK with AlzaPlus+, this is the most significant discount on a 32GB OLED configuration you’ll see this year. Why this laptop is interesting Vivobook S14 is one of the Copilot+ PC laptops – a generation that features a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) for local AI processing. The Qualcomm Hexagon NPU handles up to 45 TOPS, which is the necessary threshold for features like Recall, Cocreator, or Live Captions directly on the device. The combination of an ARM processor with an OLED display and 32 GB RAM at this price point is not common – typical 32GB x86 configurations cost 5 to 10 thousand more. Key parameters explained in plain language The display is a 14″ OLED with WUXGA resolution (1920 × 1200) and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It offers DCI-P3 95% coverage, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, and a brightness of 300 nits – sufficient for indoor work with some headroom, but not for direct sunlight. The OLED panel typically delivers accurate colors and deep blacks, additionally certified by TÜV Rheinland for reduced blue light. It’s worth noting that OLED panels have a fundamental risk of burn-in if a static image is displayed for hours – however, with work laptops featuring power-saving modes, this is not a significant issue. Performance is handled by the Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) – 8 cores, clock speed up to 2.97 GHz, manufactured with a 4nm process. This is complemented by 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM (soldered on the board, non-upgradable) and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD. The Qualcomm Adreno GPU is sufficient for typical office work, lighter video editing, and older games, but it’s not designed for demanding AAA titles. For the common combination of “browser + Office + communication + lighter creative work,” 32 GB RAM is a comfortable ceiling today. The battery has a capacity of 70 Wh in a 3-cell configuration, with the manufacturer claiming up to 30.5 hours of battery life. Realistically, expect 12–18 hours in typical use, which is still significantly more than comparable x86 laptops. ARM processors have their biggest advantage here. KOUPIT S ALZAPLUS+ Practical aspects: ports, keyboard, and build Connectivity is rich for this class: 2× USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support (up to 40 Gb/s), 2× USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 TMDS, and a 3.5mm combo jack. This means you can work with a monitor, external SSD, and wired peripherals without needing a docking station. Connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 6E (tri-band) and Bluetooth 5.3. The construction is all-metal, thin from 1.59 cm, and weighs 1.35 kg – you’ll barely notice it in your backpack. The laptop meets the MIL-STD 810H military standard, indicating resistance to shocks and extreme temperatures. The keyboard has a 1.7mm key travel, is backlit, and includes a dedicated Copilot button. The webcam is FHD with IR for Windows Hello and has a physical shutter for privacy protection. What is AlzaPlus+ and when is it worth it AlzaPlus+ is a paid membership that gives you free delivery from Alza without a minimum order value and exclusive discounts on selected products. The membership price today is 25 CZK per month with an annual plan (299 CZK annually) or 59 CZK for monthly payments. Membership can be canceled at any time without penalty. For this specific laptop, the price difference with and without membership is 6,853 CZK – several times the annual membership cost. Even if you activated AlzaPlus+ just for this order and canceled it immediately afterward, it would be worth it. In the long term, membership typically pays off from the fifth purchase per year if you shop regularly through Alza. What to watch out for: ARM versus x86 Snapdragon X is an ARM processor, not a classic x86. Windows 11 on ARM runs well today and has integrated Prism emulation, which can handle most standard x86 applications. However, natively optimized versions exist for Office, Edge, Chrome, most Adobe applications, Visual Studio Code, Slack, Spotify, Teams, and other common software. You might encounter problems with specialized professional software (some CAD, accounting tools, older VPN clients) and games – some titles either don’t run at all or perform significantly worse through emulation. Alza states a return rate of 8.33% for this model, which is a higher number for laptops. This might not be due to hardware defects but rather returns due to software compatibility – therefore, it’s wise to verify before purchase whether key applications have an ARM/Win on ARM version, or simply try the 14-day return without stating a reason. CHCI 32GB OLED NOTEBOOK When it doesn’t make sense If you play modern 3D games, this configuration is not for you – the Adreno GPU is integrated, and Windows on ARM has limited DirectX 12 support. Similarly, it doesn’t make sense for demanding editing work in DaVinci Resolve, professional 3D, or CAD – these tools either don’t have an ARM version or will run with lower performance. If you are tied to a specific VPN client from your employer or specific banking software, verify compatibility with Windows on ARM beforehand. And if you need to upgrade RAM in the future, keep in mind that it’s soldered to the motherboard – 32 GB is the ceiling here and will remain so. Verdict: who it’s worth it for For 15,990 CZK with AlzaPlus+, the Vivobook S14 is one of the most advantageous OLED configurations with 32 GB RAM on the Czech market. It is particularly suitable for those who want a mobile work machine for text, documents, browsing, lighter creative tasks, and communication – essentially, typical knowledge work with very long battery life. The price of 15,990 CZK makes the laptop a strong choice if you are willing to accept the limitations of the ARM platform. However, for most office and study scenarios, this is not an issue today.
