One of Samsung’s biggest innovations in its TOP model, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is undoubtedly the Privacy Display feature. Originally, it was thought that the South Korean giant would keep this feature exclusive to the most equipped models for at least the next generation of top-tier models. However, it seems that future owners of Galaxy S27 models will already get this private filter.

The Privacy Display feature functions as a private filter integrated into the display. This means that while the user sees a clear image, to those around, the display or part of it appears practically turned off. This feature can also be highly personalized. For example, it can be active only for selected applications or their notifications, when entering passwords, or when browsing secure folders.

Unofficial information initially suggested that the feature would be available not only on the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra but also on a new representative of Samsung’s flagship series. This, in case you missed it, is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro, featuring a smaller display but better equipment than the basic Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27 Plus. However, the South Korean magazine The Elec now reports that Privacy Display will be heading to the entire S27 series.

It wasn’t long ago that there was talk of Samsung considering Chinese company BOE as a display supplier for the basic Galaxy S27. This would have been the first time a Galaxy S series phone offered a display from someone other than Samsung Electronics. Despite the higher price, Samsung decided on hardware from its own workshop. If you would also appreciate a similar feature but for some reason are not keen on Samsung smartphones, we also have good news for you. Apparently, Xiaomi, Honor, Vivo, and Oppo also plan to offer this feature in their smartphones in the future.

What do you think of the Privacy Display feature? Would you appreciate it in your phone too?
