A 75-inch TV with Mini LED backlighting for twenty-five thousand is an offer where it’s worth knowing exactly what you’re buying. Samsung QE75QN85F now with code 2026ALZAEXTRA30 will cost 24,990 CZK instead of 29,990 CZK, while it cost double at launch. But let’s say right away that QN85F is not Samsung’s flagship – above it are the QN90F series and higher. Foreign reviewers refer to it as a „mid-premium” class, meaning a reasonable mid-range with an excellent price-to-quality ratio.

Brightness, for which Mini LED exists

The main advantage is brightness. The Polish editorial team Wybierz.tv measured for the QN85F peak brightness around 1,700 to 1,800 nits and called it up to half brighter than last year’s model – that’s a value with which the picture holds up even in a sunlit living room, where OLEDs lose out. Mini LED backlighting with local dimming provides significantly deeper blacks than ordinary LED TVs, and 144 Hz with low input lag makes the TV a very decent gaming panel for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

The Tizen system is among the fastest on the market and has all important Czech services. Furthermore, Samsung promises several years of free system updates, so the TV won’t become obsolete in two years. And because it’s a Neo QLED, you also get AI resolution upscaling, which helps older TV broadcasts look tolerable on 75 inches.

Where you can tell it’s not a flagship

Reviewers agree on one main criticism: local dimming algorithms could be better. Around small bright objects on a dark background (subtitles, stars, streetlights in a night scene), subtle halo effects appear. Also missing is the anti-reflective coating that the higher QN90F series has, so in a room with windows behind you, expect reflections. And as with all Samsung TVs, you won’t find Dolby Vision support here – only HDR10+ and HDR10.

Whoever wants the best Mini LED picture should look for the QN90F. But whoever wants the largest possible diagonal with a bright picture and decent gaming performance for twenty-five thousand will get significantly more here than what they would normally pay for.
