Do you want power even where there’s no socket – or a backup in case of a power outage? The Anker SOLIX F1500 portable power station now costs 20,274 CZK with code ALZADNY35 instead of 31,190 CZK. The most important question for such a device is: what can it actually power and for how long?

Quick summary:
Makes sense for a cottage, caravan, and as a home backup – two full 230 V sockets, fast charging in ~2 h, and cells for 10 years.
⚠️ Consider that it weighs around 20 kg, is a higher investment, and for powerful appliances (grill, electric kettle) it will last rather tens of minutes.
💡 For 20,274 CZK with code ALZADNY35, you save almost 11 thousand compared to the regular price.

What it actually powers and for how long

A capacity of 1536 Wh sounds abstract, so specifically (according to Anker’s data): you can charge a phone about 97 times, a laptop about 25 times, a fan will run for about 28 hours, and a larger portable refrigerator will stay powered for 7 hours. However, be realistic with energy-intensive appliances – a 1000 W electric grill will only be powered for about 90 minutes. Two full 230 V sockets can continuously handle 1800 W (up to 2400 W short-term), so they can power various tools, but don’t expect a large capacity for a whole day with such appliances.

What it excels at

Three things distinguish it from cheaper power stations. Charging speed – fully charged from the grid in about 2 hours, from a solar panel (up to 600 W) in about 3.6 hours. UPS backup with 20 ms switching – in case of a power outage, it kicks in so quickly that a computer, network drive, or CPAP machine won’t even notice the interruption. And LiFePO4 cells with a lifespan of over 3,000 cycles, meaning easily 10 years of operation while retaining over 80% capacity. Plus, app control, 12V charging on the go, and an LED light with SOS mode.

What to consider before buying

It is a heavy device (around 20 kg) – thanks to the handles, you can carry it and store it in a car, but it’s not something you’ll typically carry on your back. It’s also a higher investment even after the discount, so it mainly makes sense for someone who will genuinely use the power station: for a cottage off-grid, for a caravan, or as a reliable home backup.

Would you get a power station more as a home backup, or for off-grid trips?
