In March, Xiaomi launched its new Pad 7 tablet on the Czech market with a price of 8,999 CZK, and even then, we considered it an incredibly attractive device. Now, as part of Alza’s Black Friday event, you can get it for just 4,990 CZK, which represents a 44% discount from the original price. Currently, it is likely one of the most advantageous Android tablets, if it doesn’t outright dominate this imaginary ranking. Let’s take a look at everything it has to offer.

Display with 3.2K resolution and 144Hz frequency

The Xiaomi Pad 7 features an 11.2″ IPS display with a resolution of 3200 × 2136 pixels, which the manufacturer refers to as 3.2K quality. The panel offers a pixel density of 345 PPI and a 3:2 aspect ratio, ideal for productive work with documents. An adaptive refresh rate of up to 144 Hz ensures smooth content scrolling and fast response during gaming.

The display achieves a maximum brightness of 800 nits and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technologies for high-quality HDR content display. Xiaomi has added several certifications from TÜV Rheinland, including protection against blue light and flickering, which you will appreciate during long-term work with the tablet.

Powerful processor and long battery life

Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, manufactured with a 4nm process, is at work. The octa-core processor with a clock speed of up to 2.8 GHz is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This combination ensures sufficient performance for everyday tasks, multitasking, and more demanding applications, including video editing or gaming.

The 8850 mAh battery, according to the manufacturer, lasts up to 20.4 hours of video playback or 258 hours of music playback. It supports 45W fast charging, which replenishes 40% of the capacity in 30 minutes. However, the charger is not included in the package and is sold separately.

AI features and HyperOS 2

The tablet runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 (but will soon receive HyperOS 3) with integrated AI features. It includes support for Google Gemini for generating text and images directly within the system. Xiaomi has added its own tools such as AI Speech Recognition for transcribing speech to text, AI Calculator for solving mathematical problems, and AI Writing for assistance with text composition.

The system supports Workstation mode, which allows applications to run in floating windows similar to a computer. The Xiaomi HyperConnect feature then ensures connectivity with other brand devices, including the ability to control a phone directly from the tablet or share the camera between devices.

Four speakers and premium design

The sound system consists of four speakers with Dolby Atmos support, providing spatial audio for watching movies or playing games. The tablet features a unibody aluminum design with a thickness of just 6.18 mm and a weight of 500 grams.

It features a 13Mpx rear camera with autofocus and an 8Mpx front camera for video calls. The tablet supports USB 3.2 Gen1 for fast data transfer, has integrated infrared control, and NFC support for contactless payments.

Who is the Xiaomi Pad 7 suitable for?

Now that it costs only 4,990 CZK, you definitely won’t go wrong by buying the Xiaomi Pad 7. It boasts features that devices with a much higher price tag wouldn’t be ashamed of – namely, a fast chip, an 11″ display with solid resolution and a high 144 Hz refresh rate, as well as practical multitasking functions. The high battery capacity of 8,850 mAh is also a plus.

For work, you can purchase a keyboard with a touchpad (1,549 CZK on sale) or the Xiaomi Focus Pen stylus (1,599 CZK) with 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity. With these accessories, the tablet becomes a laptop alternative for basic office work or creative tasks.

Compared to the competition in this price category, the Xiaomi Pad 7 offers above-average features – most tablets under 5,000 CZK have weaker processors and smaller batteries, typically also significantly worse display resolution. If you wanted a modern device with a larger display and a much bigger battery, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 Pro, which was released in September (but has a slower chipset), comes into consideration. Generally, however, it can be said that you currently won’t find a better tablet than the Pad 7 for 5,000 CZK.

Are you considering purchasing the Xiaomi Pad 7 at this promotional price?
