When I tested the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra in the spring, I came away with one main impression: this is no longer just urban commuting, but a machine you’re not afraid to take off-road. The only things that bothered me were the price of accessories and its weight. Now you can buy it for 17,999 CZK with code ALZADNY10, which is two thousand cheaper. And those two thousand will come in handy, because you’ll have to buy a few things for it.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if you ride longer distances on rough roads, live in hilly areas, or need a load capacity of up to 140 kg.
⚠️ Consider the weight of 33.7 kg, mandatory insurance, and the fact that the basic charger fills the battery in about 10.5 hours.
💡 For 17,999 CZK, you save 2,000 CZK, which you can put towards a fast charger.

Two Thousand Cheaper with the Code

The scooter sells for just under twenty thousand in the Czech Republic, and Alza has it for 19,999 CZK. The ALZADNY10 code takes off a tenth, so the final price is 17,999 CZK. Alza customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 and most often praise its build quality, performance, and suspension.

Suspension that Makes You Forgive Its Weight

The biggest difference compared to the rest of Xiaomi’s offerings is the chassis. The scooter stands on 12-inch off-road tubeless tires and has double swingarms both front and rear. On cobblestones, dirt roads, or broken asphalt, you’ll feel only a soft sway instead of bumps. In the review, I called this the main reason to buy it, and customers see it the same way.

The motor has a rated power of 500 W and a peak power of 1,200 W. It maintains a maximum of 25 km/h even where weaker scooters slow down, and the manufacturer states a climbing ability of 25%. It brakes with disc brakes on both wheels with E-ABS, and traction control prevents slippage.

75 km Range Only Applies on Paper

The battery has 585 Wh, and Xiaomi states a range of up to 75 km. This figure applies at 15 km/h on flat ground. When riding at full speed, the manufacturer itself states 55 km, and in hilly terrain, I achieved roughly half of the stated value in the test. This also corresponds to owners’ experiences; one of them, weighing 85 kg, reports 40 km in sport mode.

Furthermore, on long, steep climbs, the motor noticeably heats up, and the battery drains faster. The 6 Ultra is great for rolling landscapes and city hills, but less so for repeated mountain ascents.

Three Things to Add to the Price

The first is a fast charger. The included one charges the battery from zero in about 10.5 hours. With the Xiaomi fast charger, sold separately, the time is reduced to 3 hours and 20 minutes. Most owners buy it right away, according to reviews, and it costs around 1,500 CZK.

The second is mandatory insurance. The scooter weighs 33.7 kg, thus exceeding the 25 kg limit from which insurance is required. It costs a few hundred CZK annually, and you don’t need a registration plate or a driver’s license for it.

The third thing doesn’t cost money, but it’s the most decisive: where you will store it. Without an elevator, garage, or bike storage room, reconsider your purchase. Additionally, the yellow plastic covers are soft and will be the first to take damage in an off-road fall.

Who Benefits from the 6 Ultra at 17,999 CZK

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra is still the best scooter Xiaomi has built, and with the ALZADNY10 code for 17,999 CZK, it’s a bit easier to forgive the extra cost for the charger. It suits a rider who wants comfort on long and rough routes and has a place to park it. For short trips on smooth bike paths, it’s unnecessarily large and expensive, and a lighter (cheaper) model will serve you just as well.

Would you trade a lightweight urban scooter for such a heavy but comfortable machine?
