The computers of the future are here. Asus's ProArt series features new laptops and a tiny PC powered by the Nvidia RTX Spark chip

Ahead of IFA 2026, Asus released details on two devices united by a new chip – Nvidia RTX Spark. The first is the ProArt P16 laptop, targeting the MacBook Pro, and the second is the ProArt GR1X mini PC, intended to rival the Mac Studio. Both devices are aimed at creators who need a lot of memory.

Laptop with a dazzling display

The ProArt P16 will arrive in two display variants. The more affordable one will offer a resolution of 2,880 × 1,800 pixels and 1,100 nits brightness in HDR, while the premium option will feature a Tandem OLED with a resolution of 3,840 × 2,400 pixels and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Both variants support 120 Hz with variable refresh rate. You can equip it with memory from 24 up to 128 GB, and storage up to two terabytes, with two M.2 slots inside. The battery has 99.9 Wh and charges with up to 240 W of power. The weight is 1.77 kg.

A trade-off that might not suit everyone

However, there’s a catch worth highlighting. The previous ProArt P16 was built on an AMD processor and a discrete Nvidia graphics card, with the highest variants offering RTX 5080 or even RTX 5090. The new RTX Spark chip includes a twenty-core CPU and graphics with 6,144 CUDA cores – roughly on par with the RTX 5070 Ti. So, if raw graphics performance was your main concern, the new generation is a step backward compared to the old one. You are trading it for unified memory and a different architecture.

A small cube is also present

The ProArt GR1X mini PC, previously known as ProArt Mini PC, measures 150 × 150 × 51 mm. It will also offer up to 128 GB of unified memory, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, and four USB-C ports – but note a detail: only one of them supports 180 W power delivery. In addition to the confirmed twenty-core variant, leaks suggest a weaker eighteen-core version with 5,120 CUDA cores is also planned. Interestingly, Asus has stopped mentioning the earlier promise of 140 W cooling and instead talks about gaming and support for DLSS or G-Sync technologies. Prices and availability for both devices remain unknown; for the laptop, the company previously mentioned autumn 2026.
