The Dreame A3 AWD is an extremely powerful robotic lawnmower. It can handle inclines of up to 80% and boasts top-notch features Home News Dreame unveiled the A3 AWD all-wheel-drive robotic lawnmower at IFA 2025 The new model can handle inclines of up to 80% and mows within 1.5 cm of the lawn edge For smaller gardens, the more affordable V1 series comes with camera-only navigation Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 14. 9. 2025 04:30 Advertisement Chinese company Dreame showcased its most advanced robotic lawnmower to date, the A3 AWD, at this year’s IFA 2025 trade fair in Berlin. Following last year’s launch of the A1, A1 Pro, and A2 models, it now introduces a flagship that, thanks to its all-wheel drive, can handle even challenging terrain. Alongside it, the manufacturer also unveiled the more affordable V1 series designed for smaller gardens. All-Wheel Drive and Extreme Incline Capability The Dreame A3 AWD is designed for lawns up to 3,500 square meters. Thanks to its all-wheel drive (AWD), it can handle inclines of up to 80%, which corresponds to a slope of 38.7 degrees. The mower can overcome obstacles up to 5.5 cm high, allowing it to deal with tree roots or uneven terrain. For navigation, it uses a combination of a 3D LiDAR sensor and two HDR cameras, enabling automatic AI mapping. Unlike competitors, it does not require an RTK station or guide wires. The system can recognize over 300 different objects, including toys, garden tools, or small animals. EdgeMaster 2.0 Mowing to the Edge The main new feature is EdgeMaster 2.0 technology with two retractable mowing discs. These extend when mowing near edges and can cut grass less than 1.5 cm from the edge. The previous A2 model had only one retractable disc, so this improvement should deliver even more precise results. The mowing discs have a total cutting width of 40 cm and a floating suspension that adapts to uneven terrain. The cutting height can be adjusted between 3 and 10 cm directly in the mobile application. Safety Features and Animal Protection The mower includes a front camera for live video streaming to the mobile application. A security mode allows autonomous garden patrolling – AI recognizes people and sends a notification in case of suspicious activity. For theft protection, it has a 4G eSIM card, GPS tracking, and support for Apple AirTag. Dreame also considered the protection of small animals. The mower offers a slow driving mode and the option to create zones where mowing does not occur. A schedule can also be set with pauses during periods of activity for hedgehogs or other garden inhabitants. More Affordable V1 Series for Smaller Gardens Alongside the flagship A3 AWD, Dreame also introduced the more affordable V1 series designed for smaller properties. This series utilizes the OmniEyes 1.0 navigation system, based solely on a pair of cameras with AI mapping, without a LiDAR sensor. V1 series models can handle inclines up to 40% and obstacles up to a maximum of 4 cm high. They can pass through narrow spaces from 60 cm in width and, according to the manufacturer, recognize over 300 different objects. Dreame promises long battery life, but the specific capacity has not yet been specified. Availability and Price The Dreame A3 AWD is expected to arrive on the European market in spring 2026. The manufacturer has not yet announced the price, but given its advanced features, it will almost certainly be an ultra-premium model with a price above 50,000. Information on the availability of the more affordable V1 series is still missing. However, Dreame has confirmed that details on prices and exact launch dates will be released in the coming months.
