The first air conditioners from Xiaomi are coming to Europe. They will offer smart features and high energy efficiency

Following the announcement of the global expansion of large home appliances in early March, Xiaomi has revealed the first specific models heading to markets outside of its home country, China. These are the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco air conditioners in 2.6 and 3.5 kW versions, which stand out mainly for their high energy efficiency, smart features, and the ability to be controlled via the Xiaomi Home app. With the successful entry of the brand into the larger home appliance segment here in Europe, new washing machines, dryers, and refrigerators could eventually arrive as well.

Air conditioners with high efficiency

Both Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco models boast an energy class of A+++ for cooling mode and also A+++ for heating mode in warm climate regions of the European Union. In average climate zones, they achieve class A++. This is thanks to the full DC inverter system with an electronic expansion valve, which offers better energy savings, higher stability, and longer lifespan compared to conventional air conditioning units.

Contributing to even higher efficiency is the Mijia AI Energy Saving technology, which according to Xiaomi’s internal tests, can reportedly improve energy efficiency by up to 27%. The cloud-based artificial intelligence optimizes energy consumption without compromising cooling performance, thus providing better comfort at lower operating costs. Real-time energy consumption monitoring via the app is also available.

Smart features and ecosystem integration

The Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco air conditioners can be fully integrated into the Xiaomi Home ecosystem, allowing connection with other smart devices from the brand. Through the app, you will be able to control your air conditioner from anywhere or set timers. Voice control support with Google Assistant is also included.

Interesting features include AI personalization, which can automatically adjust settings based on your location, weather, and habits. The air conditioner can also detect room size, automatically optimizing operation for more precise temperature control and higher energy savings. With a single touch in the favorites mode, the device will offer a truly personalized experience.

Fast cooling and exceptional comfort

Xiaomi boasts that its air conditioners offer fast cooling within 30 seconds and instant heating within 60 seconds. The outlet temperature reacts in real-time, providing comfort without waiting. This is also aided by the 108mm cross-flow fan, which delivers a strong airflow for fast and comfortable cooling.

For maximum comfort, the air conditioner is equipped with 14 oscillating vanes and 602 circular micro-perforations (tiny holes) that break down the strong cold air into a gentle, pleasant flow. This reduces wind speed and prevents the uncomfortable feeling caused by direct airflow. The device can also handle extreme temperatures from -32 °C to 60 °C, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.

Quiet and clean environment

For a peaceful sleep, the air conditioner offers quiet operation and automatic display dimming (among other things, this happens depending on the light sensor). In sleep mode, the air conditioner intelligently adjusts temperature, airflow, brightness, and noise level. Furthermore, you can customize the sleep mode to set your preferred sleeping environment.

The air conditioner is also equipped with a high-temperature auto-cleaning function, where dust is first removed from the surface of the indoor heat exchanger, followed by high-temperature drying to kill bacteria. Then, water condenses on the exchanger and rinses the fins. The entire process is hands-free for easier cleaning. An antimicrobial and anti-mold filter is also included, which can be easily removed and cleaned.
