The GTA 6 Launch Trailer just dropped! It's a minute and a half long and shows off stunning graphics

Rockstar Games has started the final countdown. This afternoon, they released a video on their YouTube channel simply titled Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer. Both the title and timing suggest this is the last major preview before release – there are five weeks left until the GTA 6 premiere.

A Minute and a Half About Jason and Lucia

The trailer is a minute and a half long, roughly the same as the first one from 2023, and it entirely focuses on the two main characters. Right at the beginning, there’s a confession that Jason had trouble in the army, didn’t leave on good terms, and no one would lend money to people like him. According to his official biography, he grew up among con artists, tried to escape a troubled youth through the army, and eventually ended up with local drug smugglers in the Keys archipelago.

After a few seconds, an automated voice announces a call from Lucia Caminos. The announcement sounds like a prison phone call, and that’s where we first met Lucia in the first trailer. In the second half, a question is asked if they will be okay, and the answer is that they’ve been through everything together so far and have to endure this too. The video ends with the date November 19 and the American rating M (Mature). In Europe, the game has a PEGI 18 rating according to the PlayStation Store.

Music was provided by the French electronic duo Justice, who, according to Rockstar, also composed the game’s original soundtrack. Their new single „Flower in a Hurricane“ was created in collaboration with Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and will be part of the album Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. It will be released alongside the game on November 19; you can pre-save it on streaming services and pre-order it on vinyl or CD. Rockstar adds that the entire trailer was filmed directly in-game on PlayStation 5.

Less Than Three Years Since the First Trailer

The first trailer was released in early December 2023, a day earlier than Rockstar planned, because someone prematurely leaked it on social media. The second arrived in May 2025 and, according to Rockstar, garnered 475 million views across platforms in the first 24 hours. The August Extended Look has shown the most of the game so far. The nearly 27-minute video premiered on Netflix and for the first time showcased longer segments of actual gameplay instead of cinematic cuts.

Play from November 19, Download a Week Earlier

The release date hasn’t changed since last November: GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. In the Czech Republic, it will unlock on the PlayStation Store at midnight from November 18 to 19. Those who have pre-ordered the game can download it starting November 12. This also applies to the boxed version, as it contains only a download code instead of a disc. PS5 Pro owners will receive a version enhanced for the more powerful console.

On the PlayStation Store, the standard edition costs 2,009 CZK and the Ultimate Edition 2,499 CZK; Alza offers the boxed version with a code for an estimated 2,299 CZK. The Ultimate Edition adds extra vehicles, weapons, clothing, and shops, as well as two sets of activities: raiding the PTT Youngin$ gang’s base and finding and renovating abandoned vintage cars for collector Wyman. Those who pre-order or purchase the game no later than release day will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack with a 1955 Vapid Stanier car, a garage near Ocean Beach, and 80s-style clothing. Digital pre-orders via the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store also include one month of GTA+ subscription. On the PlayStation Store, the subscription then auto-renews at the regular monthly price until canceled.

Story Mode Only at Launch, PC Version Still Awaited

Both Rockstar and the PlayStation Store describe GTA 6 as a single-player game. Rockstar has not yet announced a new version of GTA Online, nor has it said when or in what form it will arrive. A PC version is also missing. Officially, not a word has been said about it, but unofficial reports speak of early 2027.

GTA 6 was originally announced for 2025 and has since been delayed twice. The launch trailer five weeks before release is the clearest sign yet that the November date will stick this time.
