Power banks are among the accessories you usually only remember when your phone is dying in your hand and an outlet is far away. It’s worth not delaying their purchase, especially if you come across a good offer. And just such an offer has now appeared for one of the best-selling power banks on the Czech market – the AlzaPower Parade Gen2 10000mAh Power Delivery (22.5W) returns to the price of 479 CZK after several months. It was last this cheap at the end of October.

Three Outputs and Wide Compatibility

The AlzaPower Parade Gen2 features a 10,000 mAh (37 Wh) Li-pol battery, which in practice means roughly one to two full charges for a typical smartphone. The power bank is equipped with two USB-C and one USB-A port, allowing it to power up to three devices simultaneously. When charging a single device via USB-A, the output power can reach up to 22.5 W (10 V / 2.25 A), while the USB-C ports offer a maximum of 20 W via Power Delivery.

However, it’s fair to mention that when multiple outputs are used simultaneously, the maximum power drops to 15 W (5 V / 3 A), and fast charging is deactivated. This is, incidentally, one of the points users themselves highlight in reviews. If you need to charge your phone as quickly as possible, it is therefore recommended to connect it alone.

As for supported charging protocols, it includes Power Delivery 3.0, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, Samsung Adaptive Fast Charge, Huawei FCP, and Apple 2.4A. The Smart IC technology automatically recognizes the connected device and adjusts the supplied power accordingly. The power bank itself charges in approximately 2.5 hours with an input of up to 18 W.

Clear Display and Gentle Mode for Small Electronics

One of the main attractions of the Parade Gen2 is its LCD display, which shows the current charge status in percentages, as well as the voltage and current during charging or discharging. This gives you a precise overview of the power at which your device is currently charging – which can be especially useful for verifying if fast charging has been activated.

The power bank also offers a Low Power Mode, which allows safe charging of low-power devices such as smartwatches or wireless headphones. It is activated by holding the button for 5 seconds, and an indicator dot will appear on the display. Without this mode, the power bank might automatically shut down when charging small electronics due to excessively low current.

With dimensions of 140 × 68 × 16 mm, the Parade Gen2 is compact enough to fit into a trouser pocket. The package includes a 30 cm reversible USB-C cable with a loop that can be attached to keys or a backpack, for example. It also features 6-fold safety protection against overvoltage, overload, short circuit, overheating, overcharging, and undervoltage.

What Users Say About the Power Bank

The AlzaPower Parade Gen2 holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars on Alza from a total of 346 reviewers, with 92% of customers recommending it. Over 2,000 units have been sold, and the complaint rate is only 0.07%. The numbers look promising, but what about in practice?

Users most often praise its compact dimensions and low weight, which make the power bank suitable as a constant companion in a backpack or handbag. Another frequently mentioned positive is the clear display showing current and voltage, which competing power banks in this price range usually lack. Most reviewers rate the charging speed positively – for example, 18W charging via USB-C is activated for iPhones.

Conversely, the most common complaint is the easily scratchable display, whose protective plastic, according to many customers, is too soft and gets scratched after just a few days of normal use. Several users also point out that the actual usable capacity is lower than the stated 10,000 mAh – however, this is common with power banks, as some energy is lost during voltage conversion. It’s also worth noting that there is no hole on the power bank’s body for attaching the included loop with the cable, even though its presence is one of the advertised benefits.
