Xiaomi is set to expand its popular Redmi Note 14 mid-range phone series with another addition. The new model, designated Redmi Note 14 SE 5G, will be officially unveiled on July 28 in the Indian market, where the local online marketplace Flipkart is already promoting it. The new device will offer solid mid-range specifications, but it is unlikely to make it to the Czech Republic.

Specifications similar to the base model

Interestingly, the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G features almost identical parameters to the standard Redmi Note 14 5G, which is also available in our market. Under the hood, we find the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset, which should provide sufficient performance for everyday use and less demanding games. The phone will offer a battery with a capacity of 5,110 mAh, which should ensure all-day endurance even with more active use.

Even if it turns out to be the identical phone (I admit that would be incredibly confusing), the red variant showcased in the released teasers looks absolutely fantastic and could generate consumer interest.

Quality display and audio system

On the front of the phone, we find a display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness reaching up to 2,100 nits. This should ensure excellent readability even in direct sunlight. The screen is protected by durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and also features an integrated fingerprint reader for convenient unlocking.

As for audio, the Redmi Note 14 SE boasts dual stereo speakers, which, according to the manufacturer, will offer up to 300% higher volume compared to previous generations. It also includes Dolby Atmos support for an even better audio experience when watching movies or playing games.

Camera with optical stabilization

In terms of photography, we can look forward to a main 50Mpx Sony Lytia LYT-600 sensor, which should ensure quality images in good lighting conditions. The presence of optical image stabilization (OIS) is a welcome feature, helping to eliminate blur when shooting in motion or in low light. The manufacturer also promises improved performance in dim light.

We do not yet have precise information on the configuration of other cameras, but it will likely be a similar setup to the standard Redmi Note 14 5G model. That one is also equipped with an 8Mpx ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2Mpx macro sensor.

Price and availability

Xiaomi has not yet revealed the price of the new model. The aforementioned Redmi Note 14 5G is sold by major retailers in the Czech Republic for around 6,000 CZK. In the case of the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G, it is rather unlikely that it will ever officially arrive here.

Do you think the Redmi Note 14 SE should also come to the Czech Republic?
