The Samsung Galaxy S27 series is expected to get more expensive, according to a leak. We calculated how much it might cost in the Czech Republic

Those waiting for the next generation to buy a new Samsung flagship might have to dig deeper into their pockets. According to a new leak from South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S27 series is expected to increase in price across all models, with those wanting more storage for their data paying the most. We therefore took the Czech prices of the Galaxy S26 series at launch and tried to estimate where the prices of its successors might settle.

How much is Samsung expected to add?

The information comes from a Korean leaker operating under the nickname Lanzuk, who refers to sources from the domestic supply chain. According to him, Samsung is recalculating the originally set price list, and the starting prices of the series models should increase by 130 to 140 thousand won, which is approximately 2,100 to 2,200 CZK in conversion.

Larger storage is expected to become even more significantly expensive. According to ZDNet Korea, the difference between the base and higher memory variants could extend to more than 270 thousand won, which is about 4,300 CZK. Until now, this difference usually hovered around one hundred dollars.

Memory crisis is behind the price increase

The same problem that raised prices for other manufacturers this year is to blame: a shortage of operating and storage memory, whose production capacities are being consumed by the AI server boom.

For Samsung, another factor is added to this. According to the leak, the most equipped version of the Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to receive new LPDDR6 memory, which is more expensive than the previously used LPDDR5X. According to the leaker, the new generation of memory could also appear in some other models of the series, but not in all.

Galaxy S27 series in the Czech Republic: we estimated prices

Samsung will announce official prices only at the presentation, which is traditionally expected at the beginning of 2027. However, we added the price increase from the leak to the Czech prices of the Galaxy S26 series at launch: approximately 2,100 CZK for base versions, about double for 512GB variants, and a bit more for the terabyte Ultra. This is a rough estimate based on a direct conversion of Korean figures, not a leaked price list.

The terabyte Galaxy S27 Ultra could thus break the 50,000 CZK barrier. The brand new Galaxy S27 Pro, which according to current leaks is supposed to complement the series and has no direct predecessor in the S26 generation, should logically settle somewhere between the Plus model and the Ultra.

Does this also apply to Europe?

The entire leak concerns exclusively the Korean market, and Samsung has not commented on it. European prices are also influenced by the exchange rate of the koruna (CZK), different VAT, and the commercial policy of the local branch, so the actual amounts may differ from our estimate in both directions. Korean media also do not rule out that some models in the series may retain the prices of their predecessors.

This year also showed that the recommended prices of flagships quickly drop after sales begin. The Galaxy S26 could be bought on Alza in September for approximately 16,000 CZK, which is eight thousand cheaper than at launch – we wrote about it recently.

Would you buy the Galaxy S27 even at a higher price, or would you rather opt for the discounted Galaxy S26?
