The thin Galaxy S25 Edge is already available in Czechia! Prices are very favorable, you can save up to 15 thousand compared to Germany

While Samsung has not yet officially launched sales of its thinnest flagship phone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, on the Czech market, the domestic retailer Mironet is already offering the device at a surprisingly advantageous price. The phone, which stands out primarily for its extreme thinness of just 5.8 mm and premium titanium construction, is thus reaching Czech customers significantly cheaper than, for example, in neighboring Germany.

Prices lower by up to 13 thousand CZK

Mironet currently offers the Galaxy S25 Edge in two memory variants. The 256 GB storage model costs 18,490 CZK, while the 512 GB internal memory version costs 19,990 CZK. For comparison, in Germany, Samsung sells the same models for 1,249 euros (approximately 31,000 CZK), and 1,369 euros (approximately 33,500 CZK), respectively. The difference is thus up to 15 thousand CZK in favor of the Czech offer.

It is important to note that phones sold by Mironet are under so-called “EU distribution”, a term retailers often use to refer to grey imports. These are devices purchased in other European Union countries and subsequently resold on the Czech market. Therefore, this is not an official Czech Samsung distribution, which is logical, as the South Korean company does not offer the S25 Edge domestically.

The lower price is certainly appealing, but certain compromises must be considered. Phones from EU distribution cannot take advantage of official Samsung sales promotions, such as free headphones or cashback. You may also encounter complications with warranty claims – while the statutory two-year warranty applies, it cannot be claimed directly at an authorized Samsung service center, but only through the seller.

Top specifications in an ultra-thin body

The Galaxy S25 Edge stands out primarily for its titanium construction with a thickness of just 5.8 mm and a weight of 163 grams. Despite its minimalist dimensions, it offers full-fledged flagship features, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and 12 GB of RAM.

A major draw is the main 200Mpx camera with an f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization, which Samsung adopted from the top Ultra model. The manufacturer promises 40% better performance in night photography compared to the basic S25. The second sensor is a 12Mpx ultrawide camera with autofocus, which also serves for macro photography; unfortunately, a telephoto lens is missing, and you will have to rely on a digital crop from the main sensor. By the way, this is not bad at all thanks to the high resolution.

The phone features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. Support for all Galaxy AI features, including integration with Gemini Live, is a given.

Weaker battery as a trade-off for thin design

Due to the extremely thin profile, Samsung engineers had to opt for a smaller battery with a capacity of 3,900 mAh, which is less than the standard Galaxy S25. Charging occurs at a maximum power of 25 W, with the phone charging to approximately 55% in 30 minutes. However, wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare for sharing power with other devices are included.

Despite its thin profile, the phone retains IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, which should ensure high scratch resistance.

A better buy than the standard S25?

With current prices, the S25 Edge becomes an interesting alternative to the S25 and S25+ models. Compared to them, it offers a thinner body and a better main camera adopted from the Ultra. However, interested buyers must account for the compromise of a smaller battery.

The phone is available in three color variants – Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue. All color versions feature a matte finish that minimizes fingerprints.
