When Vivo launched the X300 Pro model on the Czech market last autumn, its price tag of 34,990 CZK deterred many. However, the situation is now significantly changing – you can currently get this camera phone at Datart for just 25,491 CZK, which represents a saving of almost 10 thousand crowns. For those interested in a top-tier smartphone for uncompromising photography, this is definitely an interesting opportunity.

Cameras that impressed us

We had the opportunity to thoroughly test the Vivo X300 Pro and we must confirm that its camera equipment is among the best on the market. The main star is undoubtedly the 200Mpx periscopic telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, which was developed in collaboration with Zeiss. Photos taken with it are simply top-notch – detailed, with minimal noise and excellent dynamic range.

During testing, we were surprised by how well the phone handles even 10x digital zoom. Furthermore, the periscope excels in portraits – subject-background separation works flawlessly, and Zeiss bokeh effects give photos a professional look. The primary 50Mpx camera with a Sony LYT-828 sensor then offers phenomenal night photography with effective glare suppression thanks to the Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating.

A premium chip ticks under the hood

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, manufactured with a 3nm process, ticks, representing the best from the Taiwanese manufacturer. Combined with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of fast UFS 4.1 storage, the phone can handle anything you throw at it. In the AnTuTu benchmark, we measured over 3.4 million points.

The 6.78-inch display offers a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels and a maximum brightness of up to 4,500 nits. Readability in direct sunlight is excellent, and the panel supports the Dolby Vision HDR format. We must also highlight the ultrasonic fingerprint reader, which works lightning-fast and accurately – just place your finger for a fraction of a second.

Where does the phone fall a bit short?

To be fair, the Vivo X300 Pro also has its weaknesses. The 5,440 mAh battery is smaller than the Chinese version due to European shipping regulations, and in combination with powerful hardware, it doesn’t achieve miraculous endurance. With intensive use including photography, we reached approximately 6 hours of active screen-on time. Fortunately, 90W fast charging helps, charging the phone in half an hour.

Under high load, the phone also heats up noticeably, which was evident in our stress tests. Performance stability reached only 29.4%, which is not ideal for long gaming sessions.

Who is the Vivo X300 Pro for?

At the current price of 25,491 CZK, the Vivo X300 Pro makes sense primarily for mobile photography enthusiasts who will appreciate the collaboration with Zeiss and the top-tier 200Mpx telephoto lens. The phone offers 5 years of major updates and 7 years of security patches, IP68/IP69 resistance, and premium craftsmanship with a titanium frame.

Conversely, if you prioritize battery life or plan long gaming marathons, you might want to look elsewhere. Similarly, those who only use the camera’s automatic mode will not fully utilize the potential of this phone.

Would the discount on the Vivo X300 Pro tempt you, or do you prefer another brand?
