The Xiaomi smart washing machine is already on sale in the Czech Republic. It costs less than ten thousand crowns

When we discussed the features of the Mijia Front Load Washer 8kg smart washing machine at the end of June, the only significant piece of information missing was the Czech price. Xiaomi has now filled this gap in the most practical way possible: by adding the new product to its domestic e-shop, where it costs 9,999 CZK.

How much does the Xiaomi smart washing machine cost and where can you get it?

The washing machine appeared on the official Czech mi.com website, where you can add it directly to your cart. Nothing is added to the 9,999 CZK price tag – the seller delivers large appliances for free, typically within two to three business days, and recycling of an old appliance can also be added to the order free of charge.

You cannot buy the eight-kilogram model from other domestic stores yet. At the time of writing, Alza only offers the more equipped sister washer-dryer Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 9, for 12,990 CZK. So, those who don’t need to dry laundry will save approximately three thousand crowns.

The washing machine only arrived in Europe at the turn of May and June, along with the drying variant and the top-loading model. At that time, Xiaomi did not state the Czech price or the sales date – so only a few weeks passed from its European premiere to its actual sale in the Czech Republic.

What do you get for less than ten thousand?

The main attraction remains the connection with the Xiaomi Home application. Through it, you can start or schedule washing remotely, and the software will recommend a suitable program based on your previous habits. Thanks to OTA updates, the machine is expected to gain new functions and modes over time, which is certainly not standard for white goods. A color touch panel is also available directly on the appliance.

You can choose from more than 27 washing programs – 14 of them can be found on the panel, and the remaining 13 in the application. There is also steam hygienic washing, for which the manufacturer claims the removal of up to 99.99% of bacteria; however, this is a result from laboratory conditions, so take it with a grain of salt. For those in a hurry, a fifteen-minute quick wash for one to two kilograms of laundry will be useful.

The eight-kilogram drum with a diameter of 525 mm spins at up to 1,400 revolutions per minute, and the washing machine’s body, with a depth of 535 mm, is slim enough to fit into a kitchen cabinet or built-in wardrobe. The manufacturer adds a two-year warranty on the entire appliance and a twelve-year warranty on the inverter motor.
