The AnTuTu benchmark platform has traditionally published an overview of the most powerful Android devices for the past month. January’s results confirm the dominance of gaming phones at the top of the ranking and an interesting trend in the mid-range, where devices with MediaTek chips literally crush those with Snapdragon.

RedMagic on the throne again

The top spot in the flagship category was taken by the RedMagic 11 Pro+ with an average score of 4,104,271 points. The gaming phone with active cooling made the most of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and confirmed that in terms of raw performance, no one currently comes close.

Second place goes to the vivo X300 Pro in the satellite connectivity edition, which is one of only two devices in the TOP 10 to rely on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. The trio is rounded out by the Realme GT 8 Pro. The remaining eight positions in the top ten were occupied by phones with Qualcomm chips.

Mid-range belongs to MediaTek

A more interesting situation prevails in the mid-range category. Here, the Honor Power 2 reigns supreme with the new Dimensity 8500 Elite chip and a score of 2,218,856 points. MediaTek occupied the first seven positions in the ranking – Qualcomm simply does not have a competitive chip in this segment.

Following the Honor Power 2 were the Oppo Reno15, Reno15 Pro, and Reno14 Pro models, all with the Dimensity 8400-Max chip.

Tablets: Honor without competition

In the tablet category, the Honor MagicPad3 Pro 13.3 reigns supreme – as the only tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it has a huge lead over the competition. The second-place Oppo Pad 4 Pro lags by over 600 thousand points.

It should be added that AnTuTu scores primarily reflect synthetic performance. In real-world use, the average user will practically not notice the differences between TOP models – they are more relevant for players of demanding titles.
