On Alza.cz, I came across an extraordinary discount that is worth the attention of anyone looking for a powerful and compact work notebook. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor, which cost 53,690 CZK when it entered the Czech market, is now available for 36,603 CZK after using the discount code DNYALZA30. This represents a discount of over 17 thousand crowns.

Why such a significant discount? Snapdragon X2 is coming

The reason for the price drop is simple – a few days ago, Qualcomm announced the second generation of ARM processors, Snapdragon X2 Elite. The new series brings three models: the 12-core Elite X2E-80-100 and two 18-core chips, the Elite X2E-88-100 and the top-tier Extreme X2E-96-100. The latter combines 6 standard Performance cores (3.6 GHz) with 12 powerful Prime cores (4.4 GHz), with a boost reaching up to 5.0 GHz.

But beware – the first generation Snapdragon X Elite is definitely not obsolete. The notebook also runs warmer than the Intel version – reaching up to 50 °C on the underside under load. The fan is audible under load (up to 41.8 dB), although it remains quiet during normal work.

At the current price of 36,603 CZK, this is an interesting offer – according to Heureka, it normally sells for over 47 thousand. Yes, the new generation Snapdragon X2 will be more powerful, but also significantly more expensive. The first generation offers 80% of the performance for 60% of the price, which is a reasonable compromise for many users.

If you’re hesitant, consider your priorities: do you need absolute compatibility with all Windows applications? Then stick with x86. Do you want a lightweight notebook with record battery life for everyday office work? The ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 at this price is hard to refuse.
