Google has officially announced the introduction of a new corporate logo, which will gradually replace the existing four-color “G” across its entire portfolio of products and services. The main change is the transition from four sharp colors to a gradient design, which makes the logo shine with many more shades. The company presents this change as a symbol of its transformation in the era of artificial intelligence.

Gradient Design Instead of Sharp Colors

Google’s new logo retains its characteristic palette of four colors – blue, red, yellow, and green – but now transitions smoothly between them using a gradient. The result is a more modern and dynamic look that, according to the company, better reflects the creative energy and innovations driven by artificial intelligence. The design was first introduced in May of this year for Google Search, which we reported on at the time.

How Google Itself Explains the Change

In its blog post, Google recalls that it introduced the four-color “G” logo, which supposedly reflected the ways users interacted with the company’s products at the time, ten years ago. Now it’s time for further evolution. “The new Google G now represents all of Google – the brand and the company,” the company states, adding that the change visually reflects the evolution in the AI era.

Google emphasizes that the brighter shades and gradient design symbolize a wave of innovations driven by artificial intelligence across the company’s products and technologies. The design has been used by the Gemini service since June and will gradually appear in other products, platforms, and services in the coming months.

Gradual Expansion Across the Ecosystem

The logo change will not be immediate – Google plans gradual implementation over the coming months. Users will thus be able to get used to the new look gradually as it appears in individual applications and services. The change has already been reflected, for example, in the Google Home service logo, whose iOS app received a significant update over the weekend.
