The well-known leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, whom you may know by the nickname OnLeaks, has published the first renders of the upcoming mid-range smartphone Google Pixel 10a in cooperation with Android Headlines. The images, based on official CAD drawings, reveal that Google continues the design philosophy established with this year’s Pixel 9a – meaning no prominent camera bar, which had been a characteristic feature of the series for years.

Pixel 10a copies its predecessor’s design

From the leaked renders, it is evident that the Pixel 10a will be practically indistinguishable from the Pixel 9a. Google retains a completely flat back, which is flush with the camera module. The rear side should again be plastic, which will help keep the price lower. The phone’s dimensions are reportedly 153.9 × 72.9 × 9 mm.

An unpleasant surprise in the form of an older chipset?

While we would expect the deployment of the new Tensor G5, which will power the Pixel 10 series, sources suggest that Google will use an improved version of Tensor G4 in the 10a model. The reason is said to be the high price of the new chipset manufactured by TSMC. Google should use an overclocked variant of Tensor G4, which will offer better performance than the standard version from the Pixel 9a.

Specifications still rather unclear

As for other specifications, we don’t have too many details available at the moment, and de facto we can only speculate. It is likely that on the back we will find a pair of cameras consisting of a 48Mpx primary sensor and a 13Mpx ultra-wide camera. The display should then have a diagonal of 6.2 inches with Full HD+ resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of 60-120 Hz.

The phone should get 8 GB of RAM and there will almost certainly be a choice of 128GB or 256GB storage. Charging will likely remain at 23 W wired and 7.5 W wireless. 7 years of software support is also expected, which Google promises for all new Pixels.

When will the Pixel 10a be introduced?

Although there have been speculations about its introduction even before the end of 2025, this does not seem very likely. Google traditionally introduces its more affordable models in the spring – the Pixel 9a was launched in April, and previous generations in May. Given that renders usually appear about half a year before the launch, we can expect the premiere in March or April next year.

As for the price, no specific information indicating a price increase has surfaced yet, so it could well be that the new product will again start at 13,990 crowns in our market.

Are you planning to get a Google Pixel 10a?
