This is what the Samsung Galaxy Glasses smart glasses are said to look like. As if they were a spitting image of Meta's competition Home News Android Headlines published the first renders of Samsung Galaxy Glasses smart glasses The display-less version, codenamed Jinju, should cost between $379 and $499 Glasses with a micro-LED display, referred to as Haean, will arrive in 2027 Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 27. 4. 2026 14:30 Advertisement Last October, Samsung introduced the Galaxy XR headset, entering the world of the Android XR platform. However, headsets proved to be a product that no one would buy for everyday wear, so the South Korean giant, following the example of its competitors, is diligently preparing for its first Galaxy Glasses smart glasses. The Android Headlines server has now been the first to bring renders based on real photos of test units, giving us our first look at what the Galaxy Glasses will actually look like. Their appearance resembles Meta Ray-Ban Specifications currently meet segment standards Display version to arrive next year Price and anticipated launch Their appearance resembles Meta Ray-Ban From the renders, it is immediately apparent that Samsung has chosen a similar path to Meta, which collaborates with the Ray-Ban brand. Meanwhile, fashion brands Warby Parker and Gentle Monster are expected to assist Samsung. The Galaxy Glasses look like ordinary sunglasses, and apart from a pair of camera lenses on the sides and a small Samsung logo, there is practically nothing technological visible on them. The strikingly thin temples also make the glasses a solid-looking fashion accessory, which competitors are only just trying to emulate in this form factor. This version of Galaxy Glasses, codenamed Jinju (or model numbers SM-O200P and SM-O200J), does not feature a display. All control will therefore primarily take place via voice commands with the Gemini assistant, or via a touch-sensitive area on the temple. The cameras in the lenses will then provide Gemini with real-world context – for example, they will help with translating signs, describing surroundings, or navigation in Google Maps. Specifications currently meet segment standards Along with the renders, Android Headlines also published the anticipated specifications, which are currently unconfirmed but very likely correspond to the final product. The computational performance should be handled by the now standard Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 chipset, which also powers Meta Ray-Ban Display and other competing glasses. It is expected to be complemented by a camera with a 12Mpx Sony IMX681 sensor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and photochromatic lenses that darken in daylight. The entire glasses should weigh around 50 grams. Sound will be provided by a combination of directional speakers, with some patents also mentioning bone conduction audio. Power will be supplied by a battery with a capacity of just 155 mAh – significantly less than the 245mAh cell that SamMobile reported in March. Even then, it was clear that this higher capacity likely referred to the model with a display (we described that leak in a separate article). Display version to arrive next year According to available information, Samsung is working on two pairs of smart glasses. Besides the Jinju model, a more advanced variant called Haean is planned, which will integrate a micro-LED display directly into the lens. This would allow the user to see notifications, navigation, or contextual information directly in front of their eyes without the need for audio output. However, according to available information, the launch of this improved version is scheduled for next year. Price and anticipated launch According to the leak, the price of the Galaxy Glasses should range between $379 and $499, which translates to approximately 7,900 to 10,400 CZK. The more expensive model with a display could then reach sums between $600 and $900, or approximately 12,500 to 19,000 CZK. When exactly the Galaxy Glasses will be officially unveiled is not yet confirmed. Speculation points to the Google I/O 2026 conference in May, where Samsung could showcase them alongside Google as part of the Android XR platform. A full reveal is then expected at the summer Galaxy Unpacked in July, alongside the anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Watch 9. However, the actual start of sales will most likely come a few months later – a scenario Samsung also applied to the Galaxy XR headset.
