As part of Alza Days, you can find the 65-inch LG OLED65B56 with discount code ALZADNY30 for 25,893 CZK, which is a discount of 26,597 CZK from the original price of 52,490 CZK at its launch in May 2025. This is an entry-level model from LG’s current OLED lineup, which uses a traditional WOLED panel instead of the more expensive tandem RGB panel from the G5 model. You get infinite contrast, perfect blacks, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10, but at a fraction of the price of premium OLEDs.

The TV has 4K resolution (3,840 × 2,160 pixels), a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an alpha 8 AI Gen2 processor that processes images in real-time and upscales HD content to 4K. The panel uses an RWBG subpixel structure with a white subpixel, which helps achieve higher brightness but slightly dilutes the purity of some colors – especially green and red, according to RTINGS.

Infinite Contrast, but Average Brightness

The biggest advantage of OLED technology is infinite contrast – each pixel illuminates independently, so you can have a bright white spot and a perfectly black pixel right next to each other. No blooming effects, no illuminated zones around bright objects. In a dark room, it looks absolutely amazing.

The problem is lower peak brightness compared to more expensive models. In tests, the B5 reaches around 850 cd/m² in HDR peaks, while the LG C5 OLED is significantly brighter. For watching movies in a dark or dimly lit room, this is sufficient, but if you watch during the day with lights on or have many windows, the image will look less contrasty than with Mini-LED TVs.

In SDR (standard TV broadcasting), it only reaches 303 cd/m², which is weaker than LED competitors. On the other hand, thanks to perfect blacks, the image looks impressive even at lower brightness – especially in dark scenes.

Suitable for Gaming

The LG B56 has four HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48 Gbps bandwidth, so you can connect your PS5, Xbox Series X, gaming PC, and a soundbar simultaneously without compromise. All ports support 4K at 120 Hz, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), which automatically switches to Game Optimizer mode when you turn on your console.

The TV is NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible certified and supports FreeSync Premium Pro, so it works with gaming PCs and consoles. Input lag in game mode is 5.4 ms at 120 Hz and 10.1 ms at 60 Hz, which is low enough for smooth gaming – but it’s not the lowest value on the market (some competing models have under 10 ms even at 60 Hz).

According to user reviews on Alza, the TV is perfect for gaming on PS5: “The picture is amazingly sharp with beautiful colors and works perfectly on PS5 without any lag.”

WebOS with 4 Updates Guaranteed

The B56 uses the webOS 25 operating system, which LG promises to update for at least 4 years. In practice, this means you’ll get new system versions until 2029, so the TV doesn’t become software-obsolete as quickly as competitors without guaranteed updates.

WebOS has integrated applications like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, YouTube, Spotify, Apple TV+, and others. It also supports Czech services such as iVysílání or Oneplay. Control works via the new Magic Remote 2025, which has a touch surface and acts as a pointer – you move it in the air, and the cursor moves across the screen.

The problem is that LG removed the numeric keypad from the remote, so you can’t set quick shortcuts for favorite channels. Also, there’s no separate button for switching inputs – you have to open the home menu and select the HDMI port there.

The TV has AI features – voice recognition for personalized recommendations (AI Voice ID), a chatbot for communication via the remote (AI Chatbot), and automatic picture settings based on content type (AI Picture Wizard). In practice, it works by the TV recognizing whether you’re watching sports, a movie, or news, and adjusts brightness and contrast accordingly.

The B56 has built-in speakers with a power output of 20 W with Dolby Atmos support, but in tests, it reaches a maximum of 85 dB, which isn’t very loud. Furthermore, it has a low frequency response starting from 95 Hz, so it produces almost no bass. Dialogues are clear, but the overall sound is flat and lacks depth.

If you want proper sound, you’ll need a soundbar. The TV has an eARC port that supports Dolby Atmos via Dolby Digital Plus and uncompressed LPCM 7.1, but beware – it does not support DTS formats (DTS:X, DTS-HD Master Audio) used by some Blu-ray discs. LG removed this support from all 2025 models, even though they had it in 2023 and 2024.

Conclusion

The TV has a rating of 4.5/5 stars from 56 reviews on Alza. Users mainly praise the picture quality, perfect blacks, zero lag when gaming, and intuitive controls.

Dimensions are 144.5 × 83.2 × 5.1 cm without the stand, and the TV weighs 18.9 kg. Wall mount support is VESA 300 × 200 mm.
