Who wouldn’t want to save over 13 thousand crowns on a top-tier foldable phone? The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, which only recently entered the Czech market with a price tag approaching 50 thousand crowns, has now appeared on the Allegro e-shop for a significantly more favorable price. But as is often the case, there’s a catch.

A Discount Worth Noticing

On the Allegro platform, seller iPluto offers the 256GB version of the Galaxy Z Fold7 in blue for CZK 35,707. For comparison, the same configuration from official dealers costs CZK 48,990. We are talking about a saving of over 13 thousand crowns, which is not an amount one would simply overlook. Especially when it’s a phone that was released only a few weeks ago.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is no ordinary phone. Samsung has finally caught up with its Chinese competitors, giving its foldable flagship model a significantly thinner design, while maintaining IP48 durability and featuring the absolute top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. In our review, we rated the phone very positively – it scored 92 out of 100 points.

What’s the Catch?

The main disadvantage is that it’s EU distribution, not an official Czech import. What does this mean in practice? The phone will have a two-year warranty according to European regulations, but any potential warranty claims might be more complicated. You won’t go directly to a Czech Samsung service center; instead, you’ll handle everything through the seller on Allegro.

The seller iPluto has a rating of 86% on the platform, which isn’t outright bad, but it’s not a hundred percent guarantee either. For a phone costing over 35 thousand crowns, one would expect better service. And that’s precisely the moment when you have to ask yourself – is a saving of 15 thousand worth the potential complications?

A Foldable Is Not Indestructible

Another thing to consider is the nature of the phone itself. While the Galaxy Z Fold7 is not as prone to malfunctions as previous generations – Samsung has significantly improved the design, and the inner display should, according to the manufacturer, withstand up to 500 thousand openings and closings. Nevertheless, it is still a foldable phone with moving parts and a flexible display.

The design is simply more susceptible to damage than a classic smartphone. And it’s in such situations that you’ll appreciate being able to go directly to an authorized service center, instead of lengthy negotiations with the seller via emails.

Who Will Benefit from This Offer?

If you are technically savvy, not afraid of potential complications, and 13 thousand crowns represents a significant amount for you, this could be an interesting opportunity. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is an excellent phone that has finally caught up with the competition in terms of thin design and offers top-tier performance as well as a camera borrowed from the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

On the other hand, if you want absolute peace of mind and expect to use the phone for the full 7 years (the length of support Samsung promises), you’d better pay extra for official distribution. A foldable phone costing over 50 thousand is not an impulsive purchase and deserves full support.

If you are interested in the offer, you can find the phone on Allegro via this link. Just carefully weigh all the pros and cons – with such an expensive and specific device, it definitely doesn’t pay to save in the wrong place.

Would you buy a Z Fold7 from EU distribution?
