Wireless video doorbells are gradually moving from the category of luxury gadgets to standard home or apartment equipment. The Arenti P10, with code ALZADNY25, is now available for 1,799 CZK, placing it at a price point where you no longer have to debate if it’s worth it.

Quick Summary:
Makes sense if you don’t have a cable from an old doorbell and want a simple solution to see who’s at your door.
⚠️ Consider carefully if you want premium AI features like facial recognition or Apple HomeKit – Arenti doesn’t support these.
💡 For 1,799 CZK, you get 2K video, months of battery life, and local storage without a monthly subscription.

Five-minute installation and no monthly fees

The main appeal of a battery-powered video doorbell is its ease of installation. You don’t need an electrician, you don’t have to run cables, and it doesn’t matter if you have an old wired doorbell or nothing at all. You simply clip the Arenti P10 onto the door frame or wall using the included bracket, pair it with Wi-Fi via the app, and you’re done. If you have existing wiring from an old doorbell, you can optionally use it for continuous power, so you won’t have to recharge the battery at all.

The second crucial feature is local storage on a microSD card up to 256 GB. With Arenti, you insert the SD card once and pay nothing more. Cloud storage is available as an optional add-on for those who want access to recordings even if someone removes and takes the doorbell from the door.

What AI detection actually does

The camera has a resolution of 2560 × 1080 pixels (2K), which is more than sufficient for identifying a person at the door. For night scenarios, infrared night vision with a range of 10 meters is available, so you’ll see who’s at the door even in complete darkness. AI motion detection reacts within 6 meters and attempts to distinguish a person from other movements (cars, cats, rustling leaves), so you don’t receive a notification every time a bird flies past the doorbell.

But let’s be honest – this AI is not on the level of Google Nest. It doesn’t recognize specific faces (like “Pepa came home from work”). However, for 90% of practical use, it’s enough – you want to know that someone is at the door and see them. You don’t need a PhD in artificial intelligence for that. Communication works two-way, so you can handle a package delivery from work via your phone.

What to consider before buying

IP65 rating means protection against rain, snow, and dust – perfectly fine for installation under a door canopy. For fully exposed outdoor mounting without a protective roof, it’s worth considering that direct exposure to raindrops over several years might wear down the electronics. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is sufficient for a stable connection, but if your router is in the opposite corner of the house, check the signal at the doorbell’s intended location before purchasing.

Also, pay attention to the app language – the Arenti app is available in Czech, but don’t count on Apple HomeKit integration. It only works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. For an Android-only household, this is not an issue, but for the Apple ecosystem, it’s a limitation. Similarly, there is no integration with Home Assistant via an official API – there are ways through RTSP stream, but that’s territory for more advanced users.

Do you think this doorbell is worth it?
