The popular soundbar Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 6 is now selling at a significantly lower price than at its launch this April. While it cost 11,990 CZK then, according to Heureka data, you can now get it from retailer elvia-pro for just 7,550 CZK. It is also available on Alza for 7,990 CZK.

Surround Sound with Up-firing Speakers

The Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 6 features a 3.1.2 channel configuration with a total output of 350 W. The soundbar includes up-firing speakers that reflect sound off the ceiling, creating an overhead surround sound effect. The package includes a wireless subwoofer, which connects via Bluetooth and provides powerful bass without the need for cables.

The device supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats for authentic multi-dimensional sound. Sony also adds its own Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround technologies, which create virtual surround sound even from regular stereo content.

Easy Control and Rich Connectivity

The soundbar connects to the TV using HDMI eARC or an optical cable. For music streaming, it offers Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, Chromecast, and Apple AirPlay 2. Control is provided by the BRAVIA Connect app, which guides the user through setup and allows detailed sound configuration.

Voice Zoom 3 technology uses artificial intelligence to enhance dialogues, which is especially appreciated when watching movies with quiet passages. The soundbar measures 95 × 6.4 cm, so it fits under most TVs.

Film enthusiasts who want to improve their TV’s sound without complicated home cinema installation will also appreciate it. Thanks to its night mode with suppressed bass, it is also suitable for apartments where you don’t want to disturb neighbors.

The soundbar is not primarily intended for music listening – the sound lacks detail in higher frequencies and feels confined when it’s not Dolby Atmos content.

On Alza, the soundbar has a rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars from 11 customers. User Matěj from Brno praises the clear sound with a wide soundstage for Dolby Atmos content and quality craftsmanship. He also highlights the night mode, which subtly suppresses bass for evening viewing. On the other hand, he dislikes the absence of a full-fledged equalizer and the inability to check current settings without a mobile app.
