Finally, someone understood what we truly need for a summer barbecue or a trip to the water. The brand House of Marley has just introduced the portable Bluetooth speaker Get Together Go, which, in addition to quality sound, brings a feature that the entire beer-loving community has been calling for – a built-in bottle opener. No more searching in pockets, no more opening bottles on table edges. Just a speaker that plays music, and when needed, opens your bottle of beer.

For barbecues and rain

The Get Together Go is no delicate living room ornament. The speaker boasts IP67 certification, meaning complete resistance to dust and immersion in water up to one meter deep. So, even if it falls into the pool or the beer you just opened spills on it, nothing will happen. The construction uses recycled REGRIND silicone and renewable bamboo on the front, thus the brand remains true to its ecological philosophy.

Regarding sound, the Get Together Go features 30W of power distributed between two drivers and two tweeters. The frequency range from 100 Hz to 20 kHz covers most music genres, although you won’t get really deep bass due to its compact size. There are three EQ presets available – Marley Signature Sound for balanced listening, Bass Boost for bass lovers, and Outdoor Mode optimized for outdoor environments.

Bluetooth 6.0 and decent battery life

The speaker connects via Bluetooth 6.0 with support for SBC and AAC codecs and a range of up to 15 meters. If you prefer a wired connection, there’s also a 3.5mm jack. An interesting feature is the support for Auracast technology, which allows connecting multiple speakers of the same model to create a larger sound system – ideal when each friend has their own.

On a single charge via USB-C, the Get Together Go can play for up to 20 hours, so it can easily handle a weekend trip. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours. Its dimensions of 30 × 7.8 × 10.7 cm and weight of 1.35 kg make it an easily portable companion, although it’s not a truly lightweight speaker for a backpack.

Price and availability

The House of Marley Get Together Go is currently sold in Japan for 29,990 yen, which translates to approximately 4,000 CZK. It is available in Cream and Signature Black colors. The manufacturer announces a quick expansion to other markets, including Amazon, so the new product might eventually appear in Europe.

For that price, you get a well-equipped portable speaker with eco-friendly materials and a durable construction. And the opener? It’s simply a bonus that makes the Get Together Go a perfect companion for any summer event. No more “Does anyone have an opener?” – you just always have it at hand.

Would you get a speaker with a built-in bottle opener?
