The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus, which appeared on the Czech market this year, has now dropped to an all-time low. You can get it on sale for just 11,780 CZK, while at launch it cost more than 13 thousand.

Larger Wheels for a More Comfortable Ride

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Plus primarily impresses with its 12-inch tubeless tires, which handle uneven terrain significantly better than the smaller wheels of conventional scooters. In combination with dual front spring suspension with up to 30 mm of travel, it offers a comfortable ride even on bumpier roads. The scooter can handle inclines of up to 20%.

The motor with a nominal power of 400 W (peak up to 900 W) propels the scooter at speeds of up to 25 km/h. Three riding modes are available – pedestrian level (6 km/h), standard (15 km/h), and sport with maximum speed. For safety in slippery conditions, the manufacturer has integrated the TCS system, which electronically controls wheel slippage.

60 km Range Without Recharging

The battery with a capacity of 10.2 Ah provides a range of up to 60 kilometers on a single charge, according to the manufacturer. The actual value, of course, depends on the rider’s weight, terrain, and selected riding mode. The intelligent BMS battery management system protects the battery from overcharging, overheating, and short circuits using six protection mechanisms.

The carbon steel construction can carry riders weighing up to 120 kg. Compared to the basic Scooter 5 model, the Plus version received higher handlebars and a wider footboard, which taller individuals will especially appreciate. The entire scooter has IPX5 protection against splashing water, and the battery module itself even has IPX6.

Smart Lights and Mobile Connectivity

The front LED light with a range of 10 meters automatically activates in low visibility thanks to an integrated light sensor. The rear light increases intensity when braking to alert other road users. Safe stopping is handled by a combination of a front drum brake and a rear electronic E-ABS brake.

The scooter can be connected to the Xiaomi Home app, where you can find data on remaining range, battery status, and ride history. Through the app, you can also activate the motor lock, set automatic light activation, or turn on assisted mode. The option to locate the scooter via Bluetooth is also practical.

The folding mechanism allows the scooter to be folded in three simple steps. Xiaomi also offers an optional seat, which turns the scooter into a more comfortable means of transport for longer routes.
