This Xiaomi smart air fryer can even bake, and it costs less than two thousand crowns. What can it all do?

Air fryers have become a hit in kitchens worldwide in recent years. Xiaomi is now introducing a model to the Chinese market that goes even further – in addition to classic hot air frying, it can also steam or bake. The Mijia Smart Air Fryer Pro Steam & Bake Edition 6.5L is available for 559 yuan, which translates to approximately 1,700 CZK.

Control via Phone and Voice

The main draw of the new product is its integration with the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem. The fryer can be controlled via the Mi Home app, where users will find access to over 100 cloud recipes. In addition to mobile control, the device also supports HyperOS Connect and integration with the XiaoAI voice assistant, so you can start food preparation with a simple voice command.

For those who prefer classic control, Xiaomi has also added a physical rotary knob. Users can thus choose whether to control the fryer from the couch via their phone or directly at the appliance.

Three Cooking Methods in One

The Mijia Smart Air Fryer Pro combines three cooking methods: classic hot air frying, baking, and steaming. A total of 11 preparation modes are available, including low-temperature cooking and 31 preset recipes. The temperature range spans from 30 °C to 230 °C, allowing for both gentle defrosting and crispy frying.

The steaming functions are handled by a 900W generator reaching a temperature of 130 °C. According to Xiaomi, steaming is 30% faster than with traditional steam pots. The water tank with a capacity of 1.5 liters is sufficient for preparing up to seven servings without needing a refill.

Spacious Interior for the Whole Family

With a capacity of 6.5 liters and a horizontal dimension of 234 mm, the fryer can accommodate a whole chicken, 24 chicken wings, 800 grams of fries, or 9 steamed dumplings. The double rack also allows for preparing two different dishes simultaneously.

The inner chamber is made of 304 stainless steel, and the basket has a fluorine-free coating, which facilitates cleaning. Xiaomi also considered practical details – the fryer features a transparent window for monitoring preparation, automatic shutdown when the basket is removed, a drying mode, and an odor removal function. A 30-minute keep-warm mode is also included.

Will it come to us?

Xiaomi has not yet revealed whether it plans to launch the fryer on global markets. However, the brand is gradually bringing more and more smart home products to Europe, so it is not ruled out that the new product will eventually appear in Czech stores.
