Fifty-five inches is a diagonal that fits into many living rooms and still looks great from the couch. When you add an OLED panel and full gaming equipment, there’s little else you could want. This year’s 55-inch LG OLED C6 now costs 29,990 CZK with code 2026ALZAEXTRA30, which is a full third cheaper than its May launch price. And if we disregard the price, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a weakness that would make you reject it.

Quick summary:
✅ It’s worth it if you want OLED picture for movies and gaming without cutting corners on features, and 55 inches suits your size needs.
⚠️ Keep in mind that the G6 and W6 series are even more expensive than the C6, and the TV does not support the HDR10+ format.
💡 For 29,990 CZK, you pay 15,000 CZK less than in May, and with LG cashback, you can even get it for 27,990 CZK.

The Price Has Been Falling Since September. Now It’s a Third Lower

The LG OLED55C64LA arrived on shelves in May for 44,990 CZK, but its price has been falling since September. In the last promotion, it sold for 38,242 CZK. Now, code 2026ALZAEXTRA30 takes 30% off the current 42,843 CZK, so you will pay 29,990 CZK. Compared to its launch, that’s a saving of 15,000 CZK; compared to the last promotion, it’s 8,252 CZK. That this is not a discount made from an inflated price is confirmed by HlídačShopů, according to which the TV is 21% below its lowest price before the promotion.

You can save even more. Alza expects a 2,000 CZK cashback from LG for the TV, which would bring the price down to 27,990 CZK after application. However, this is a separate manufacturer’s promotion, so it’s advisable to verify its terms and conditions. The TV is in stock, and shipping is free.

Uncompromising Black and Brightness That OLEDs Previously Lacked

Each of the 8.3 million pixels on an OLED panel illuminates independently, and when it needs to be black, it simply turns off. This eliminates the light halo around subtitles or stars in the night sky, which you know from backlit LCD TVs. The weakness of OLEDs used to be brightness – here, the Brightness Booster feature is designed to increase it, which LG specifically mentions for the 55, 65, and 48-inch versions of the C6. The manufacturer also boasts Perfect Black and Perfect Color certifications, according to which black should remain deep and colors faithful even in a lit room.

The image is processed by the alpha 11 AI 4K Gen3 processor with two AI cores, which recognizes genre and faces and upscales older or lower-quality video to 4K. For movies, there’s Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, as well as FILMMAKER Mode, which aims to keep the picture as close as possible to the creators’ intent and adapt it to ambient light.

Visually, the TV doesn’t take up much space in the living room. Without the stand, it is only 45.1 mm deep and weighs 14.1 kg, so it sits flush against the wall like a picture. When you’re not watching it, in Gallery mode, it can display works of art or your photos from Google Photos.

Console and Gaming PC Without Reconnecting Cables

This is where cheaper TVs often cut corners, but the C6 doesn’t skimp. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports, so you can have your PlayStation, Xbox, and PC all connected at once without worrying about which input can handle full speed. The panel runs natively at 120 Hz, and in gaming mode, it can jump up to 165 Hz at 4K resolution. However, only a PC and games that support such a frequency will utilize this; consoles will remain at 120 Hz.

Screen tearing and stuttering are handled by NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium support, along with VRR and automatic ALLM gaming mode. The TV has a pixel response time of 0.1 ms certified by Intertek. And if you don’t have a console, you can play via the cloud – webOS offers GeForce NOW or Xbox; you’ll only need a subscription and a gamepad.

Five Years of Updates and Gemini in the Remote

The webOS 26 system falls under the Re:New program, within which LG promises four system updates over five years. This means the TV shouldn’t become outdated before its panel. You can search for content by voice via Google Gemini or Microsoft Copilot, send video from your phone via Google Cast and AirPlay 2, and DVB-T2, S2, and C tuners are ready for traditional broadcasting.

Sound is handled by 2.2 speakers with 40 W output and Dolby Atmos support, from which LG uses AI to create a virtual 11.1.2 soundstage. This is more than sufficient for news, series, and regular movies. Anyone who wants a proper home cinema will eventually buy a soundbar anyway, and if it’s from LG, it will play together with the TV’s speakers thanks to the WOW Orchestra feature.

Where Did LG Still Cut Corners?

The C6 series is not the top of the line. Above it are the G6 and W6, which aim for even higher brightness and more luxurious design – we wrote about a discount on the 65-inch G6 a few days ago. However, you’ll mainly appreciate the difference in a very brightly lit room, and for a 55-inch TV at 29,990 CZK, justifying the extra cost would be difficult.

The second concession is the missing HDR10+ format support. However, most major streaming services use Dolby Vision, so in practice, you’ll only notice it with a portion of the content. And then a minor point: the extended LG Gallery+ art library requires a subscription.

Who Will Be Most Pleased by the Discount?

The LG OLED C6 will be especially appreciated by anyone replacing an older LCD in an average-sized living room and wanting a picture that will entertain them for another five years. It will serve equally well for a gamer who connects both a console and a PC to it simultaneously. For 29,990 CZK with code 2026ALZAEXTRA30, they will get this year’s OLED with Dolby Vision, 165 Hz, and four HDMI 2.1 ports. Those with a large living room who sit far from the TV will likely opt for 65 inches, and those who want maximum brightness at all costs will have to pay extra for a higher series.

Would 55 inches be enough for your living room, or would you go bigger?
