A large TV with Mini LED backlighting usually means a large expense. This year’s 75-inch LG from the QNED85 series can now be found at a great price – with code ALZADNY35, you can buy it on Alza for 22,933 Kč at the time of writing, which is roughly a third cheaper than just before the promotion. It is also this year’s model and has not been this cheap before.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for gamers with a console or gaming PC and anyone who wants a really large screen with quality HDR for their living room.
⚠️ Consider the built-in sound – a pair of 20 W speakers will likely not be enough for such a large TV.
💡 For 22,933 Kč, you get a 75″ Mini LED from this year’s series with a promise of system updates for five years.

Mini LED with dimming and, according to LG, 100% color volume

The basis is Mini LED backlighting with local dimming, which LG calls Precision Dimming. Tiny diodes light up in zones, so dark parts of a scene can turn off while bright parts remain bright. The result is better contrast than with a conventional LED TV with uniform backlighting.

Colors are handled by Dynamic QNED Color Pro technology. The manufacturer states that the color volume corresponds to 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, which has been independently certified by Intertek. The image is processed by the alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor, whose neural unit is, according to LG, five times faster than last year’s generation. It takes care of upscaling weaker images to 4K or converting ordinary SDR content to an appearance close to HDR.

Among HDR formats, the TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. HDR10+ is missing from the manufacturer’s list. The panel natively has 120 Hz, and FILMMAKER MODE is also present for films presented as the director intended.

Four HDMI 2.1 and up to 144 Hz for consoles and PC

Gamers will especially appreciate that all four HDMI ports support 4K at 120 Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR), and automatic game mode. This means you can have both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X connected simultaneously, and neither will be short-changed.

However, you will only utilize the 144 Hz value with a computer and games that support it – consoles top out at 120 Hz. The TV is AMD FreeSync Premium certified, features HGiG mode for faithful HDR in games, and Dolby Vision even at 4K and 120 Hz. The Motion Booster function boasts 288 Hz, but only at reduced Full HD resolution. Those who play via cloud (GeForce NOW, Xbox Cloud Gaming) can connect a controller via Bluetooth with extra low latency, which LG states is under 3 ms.

webOS 26 with artificial intelligence and five years of support

The TV runs on the webOS 26 system and falls under the webOS Re:New program. LG promises up to four major system updates within five years. Search can utilize both Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, and an AI Magic Remote controller is available, which operates similarly to a wireless mouse.

You can send content from your phone via Google Cast and Apple AirPlay; the TV also supports Apple Home. For traditional broadcasting, it has DVB-T2, DVB-C, and DVB-S2 tuners, including a slot for a decoding module. The fact that it only has Wi-Fi 5 is less pleasing, but it’s more than sufficient for streaming 4K content. Those who want certainty can connect the TV with a cable.

Where it falls short: sound, black color, and weight

The weakest point is the sound. The TV has two downward-firing speakers with a total output of 20 W, and while LG promises virtual 11.1.2 surround sound, physics remains physics. For a 75-inch picture, you’ll most likely want to get a soundbar – the TV communicates well with LG models via the WOW Orchestra function.

Mini LED is also still LCD. In a completely darkened room, a faint light halo may appear around bright objects on a black background, such as subtitles. Those who primarily watch movies at night without light will be happier with an OLED, but they will pay more. Also, account for the weight of 32.5 kg without the stand – you will need a second pair of hands for wall mounting (VESA 400 × 300).

The model is still too new for customer ratings; it only has a few reviews on Alza.

Gamers and bright living rooms will get the most out of it

For 22,933 Kč with code ALZADNY35, this is a very reasonable path to a giant screen. It will suit primarily console and gaming PC owners, families who gather for sports broadcasts in a bright living room, and people who want a TV whose system, according to LG’s promise, will be updated for several more years.

Conversely, those who primarily watch movies in a darkened room and don’t want to compromise on black color should look for an OLED. And if you sit only a short distance from the TV, a smaller diagonal might be more reasonable.

Would a 75-inch TV fit in your living room?
