Xiaomi USB-C USB4 kabel

Xiaomi is apparently preparing the global launch of its latest cable with the rather lengthy name 6A High-Speed USB4 Braided USB-C to USB-C. The cable is currently only available on the Chinese market, but its appearance on the manufacturer’s official global website clearly indicates that it will soon head to other regions of the world.

The cable can transfer power up to 240W, which is the current maximum for USB-C cables, and supports fast charging protocols PD 3.1 as well as Xiaomi HyperCharge 120W.

It can also handle a peak data transfer speed of up to 40 Gb/s thanks to compatibility with the USB4 Gen 3 protocol. This allows not only extremely fast file transfer but also connecting monitors with resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz.

Xiaomi’s new cable also focuses on durability

The company equipped the new cable with a dark grey braiding, which ensures high durability. In internal tests, the cable successfully withstood more than 10,000 bends and resisted tension over 100 N, so the risk of damage during frequent carrying, for example, should be minimal.

The cable length is 1 meter, which is a standard and sufficient length for most uses at home and in the office. It is not yet clear whether Xiaomi will offer other lengths or color variants.

However, it is necessary to take into account that the cable is primarily aimed at users who truly need maximum charging capabilities and data transfer; for casual users, the technical parameters of this cable may not make much sense.

In China, the accessory is sold for 129 yuan (approx. 380 CZK). The manufacturer has not yet stated exactly when the cable will be available in Europe and other regions, but the inclusion of the product in the range on the official global website suggests that we might hopefully see it quite soon.

Would you appreciate a cable with such high transfer speed and power?
