Two weeks ago, I wrote about the TCL 75C8K for the first time, when it was available for 42,492 CZK. In the meantime, the price has dropped even further, and currently, the 75″ TCL 75C8K can be obtained for 37,493 CZK after entering the discount code ALZADNY25.

Brightness Battle with OLED

The main difference compared to OLED TVs lies in brightness. Top-tier OLED panels typically manage 1,000 to 1,500 nits at peak, most common models even less. The TCL 75C8K reaches 4,500 nits — more than three times that of OLED. In practice, this means the TV handles living rooms with large windows beautifully. HDR scenes with golden-brown sunsets or sparkling water reflections look truly excellent.

The other side of the coin is, of course, black levels. OLED has each pixel individually controlled, so black is a physically turned-off pixel. TCL must rely on local dimming of the backlight — 2,176 zones is a lot in this category, but OLED simply operates on a different principle here. In darker scenes in a darkened room, OLED still leads. However, for most real viewing scenarios (mixed light, daytime, sports, gaming), the C8K is a more versatile choice.

What You Get for Under 38 Thousand

For gamers, this TV is almost ideal. Four HDMI 2.1 ports, native 144 Hz, and a game accelerator with a frequency of 288 Hz at Full HD make the C8K a suitable partner not only for PS5 and Xbox Series X but also for PC gamers. Input latency in game mode stays below 15 ms according to independent tests.

What deserves special praise, however, is the sound. Bang & Olufsen tuned the 90W system with an integrated subwoofer, so it stands up even without an external soundbar — in verified reviews on Alza, users praise it as one of the few cases where a TV doesn’t immediately need an additional sound system. In addition, there’s a metal backlit remote control that feels more premium than controllers for most high-end TVs.
