TP-Link is expanding its range of gaming routers with the new Archer GE400, which it has already introduced on its Czech website with a note that it will be available soon. The device is aimed at gamers who demand maximum speed and minimal latency during online gaming. The router supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard and offers a combined speed of up to 6.5 Gbps.

Wi-Fi 7 with MLO Technology for Faster Connection

The Archer GE400 operates on two bands – achieving speeds of 5,765 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The router utilizes Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology, which allows simultaneous connection across both bands, ensuring a more stable connection and lower latency. The equipment also includes support for 4K-QAM modulation, which increases data transfer rates by up to 20 percent compared to Wi-Fi 6.

For maximum coverage, the router is equipped with six antennas with Beamforming technology, which direct the signal directly to connected devices. This allows it to cover even larger homes without dead zones.

Gaming Features and Two 2.5G Ports

A key feature for gamers is Turbo Game Acceleration, which automatically prioritizes gaming traffic and optimizes the network path for minimal ping. The router features two 2.5G LAN ports, which provide 2.5 times faster connectivity than standard gigabit ports. This will be appreciated by owners of powerful NAS servers or those with internet connections faster than 1 Gbps.

The panel is accessible via the web interface or the Tether mobile app. The router also supports game port forwarding, which simplifies playing with friends online.

RGB Backlighting Inspired by Racing Cars

The router’s design is inspired by racing cars and offers customizable RGB backlighting with millions of colors. The lighting can be set according to personal preferences or synchronized with a gaming setup. Under the hood, a quad-core processor handles demanding traffic when many devices are connected simultaneously.

The router supports the EasyMesh standard, so it can be combined with other compatible devices to create a mesh network covering the entire house. Security is ensured by the TP-Link HomeShield service with antivirus protection and blocking of malicious websites.

Availability and Price

Although TP-Link states on its Czech website that the router will arrive soon, it has not yet announced a specific date or Czech price. On Amazon US, the Archer GE400 is currently selling as part of an introductory offer for 169.99 dollars, which is approximately 3,600 CZK converted. The final Czech price will likely be higher due to VAT and distribution.
