TP-Link officially launched the new Tapo C113 security camera on the Czech market. The new product primarily impresses with its 2K 3MP resolution, AI features, and versatility for both indoor and outdoor use. With a price of 839 CZK, it ranks among the more affordable models with good features.

Detailed 2K Resolution Image with Night Vision

The TP-Link Tapo C113 features a 3Mpx sensor recording in (2304 × 1296 pixel) resolution. Most notably, it offers color night vision with a range of up to 12 meters, ensured by two integrated spotlights. The f/1.6 aperture lens provides a clear image even in low light, while the 97° field of view covers a sufficiently wide area.

The camera automatically switches between day and night mode based on ambient conditions. In the dark, it can recognize colors and details, which is a significant advantage over conventional black-and-white infrared cameras.

Smart AI Detection and Security Features

The biggest advantage of the Tapo C113 is its free AI detection, which recognizes people, motion, and baby crying. Artificial intelligence technology minimizes false alarms and sends only relevant notifications. Users can set up customizable activity zones and privacy areas according to their needs.

A customizable sound and light alarm serves to deter unwanted visitors. Owners can record their own audio signal and adjust the intensity of the spotlights. The built-in microphone and speaker enable two-way communication with visitors or household members.

Durability and Easy Installation

The camera is designed for year-round outdoor use thanks to its IP65 rating, which protects against rain, dust, and extreme temperatures from -20 °C to 45 °C. Compact dimensions of 61 × 60.5 × 92.1 mm and a weight of just 180 grams allow for discreet placement.

Installation is extremely simple thanks to the magnetic base, which can be placed on a table, wall, or ceiling. The package includes mounting hardware, including a 3-meter power cable for flexible camera placement.

Storage and Compatibility

Recordings can be stored locally on a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB (not included) or in Tapo Care cloud storage with the first month free. According to the manufacturer, a 512 GB card can hold approximately 680 hours of 2K quality footage.

The Tapo C113 is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings, allowing for voice control and easy integration into existing smart homes. Management is done via the Tapo mobile application, which is available in Czech.
